We stayed at the Shetland cottage for only two nights but I can honestly say I wish we had booked an extra night or two. Pre stay the owners, Yvonne and Richard, emailed with very detailed guidance on how to get to the cottage and how to enter the property. No problems with either. We then received another email with detailed information about heating, the wifi (free) and other aspects of the cottage. Nothing was lacking in the cottage and it was very clean. The cottage was very warm when we arrived and remained so until we went to bed. Electric blankets on the bed as well so very comfortable. Slight problem on the next day when the heating failed to come on but immediately rectified by Richard. So all good. There was a new large screen tv in the lounge with all of the apps and terrestrial channels . The bathroom was spotless with a powerful electric shower. All towels were included. Both bedrooms had ample storage and the beds were very comfortable. The cottage has a large enclosed, private garden which was great for our dog. Forgot to mention this is a very pet friendly property. Blankets are provided to cover the couch or beds if you best friend is used to sleeping along side you. The property is right next to the Highland Wildlife park so perfect for a visit. Aviemore is twenty minutes away as are so many other attractions. There is a very detailed "handbook" for the cottage with information on everything in the cottage. Would we stay here again? Most definitely.
