A peaceful, relaxing and comfortable cottage, within walking distance to the beautiful beach. Little Haven' is a delightful one bedroom, all ground level cottage with a charming, enclosed south facing garden, situated in the enchanting Norfolk village of Heacham. Ideal for couples or singles wanting a peaceful, relaxing break by the coast. It is within walking distance of the beach and close to the village amenities (shops, pubs and restaurants). You can also visit the nearby famous Norfolk Lavender and enjoy the many attractions. Explore the unique Norfolk coast, with the many fishing harbours and inlets, by car or bus. For your convenience, the village is on the coastal bus route. Enjoy the many miles of sandy beaches and for bird watchers, visit the R.S.P.B. coastal nature reserves at Snettisham & Titchwell. The Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton is just 2 miles away and Sandringham House and Gardens only 5 miles. The renowned village of Burnham Market with its specialist tea rooms and shops is a must, and if you have any time left, you can hire a boat for the day on the Norfolk Broads. The Cottage The self-contained cottage, has a comfortable living room with flat screen television with built in freeview, SMART TV capabilities and DVD player. Plus, an electric reclining sofa as well as a wingback armchair. The bedroom has a quality king size bed and flat screen television, with freeview. The Kitchen/Diner is equipped with a range of cooking equipment and a dishwasher. A south facing enclosed garden and patio are at the back of the cottage where there is garden furniture, lighting and it is the perfect place to start or end your day. The garden was secure for our two small dogs and they appreciated the welcome treats left for them. The location is excellent, easy walking distance to the beaches, pubs and shops and well situated to travel to other local attractions. Plenty of lovely walks nearby. The cottage was spotlessly clean, nicely decorated, with a very comfortable bed. Heacham is a quiet village just a few miles outside Hunstanton with a couple of good dogfriendly pubs. The owners provide everything required such as towels, throws, dog towel and dog bowls. The delicious scones were very much appreciated upon our arrival. The dog treats were also appreciated. It is a great base for exploring the area. The secure garden was great for our dog. Did some lovely walks - Stettisham Beach, Holkham Beach and Sandringham. A common thing with holiday cottages, they expect you to be out a lot. The sofa has collapsed underneath and is very uncomfortable to sit on for long. However the owners have thought of everything that you need, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets, cloths and sponges. They leave a welcome tray of scones, butter and jam with orange juice. This is a lovely touch. We had a visit from a hedgehog in the garden. We had a lovely break, unfortunately Heacham was closed 😂 nowhere local to eat on Tuesdays. ##### Anne M. Aug 28, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Weeks break away After a difficult year we just needed a break and this cottage was perfect. It’s actually bigger inside than the pictures show and extremely well equipped. Although we only met Anna briefly as we were packing to leave the communications before were extremely good via email and text. The information pack in the house was one of the best we’ve come across and although we don’t have a dog it was very noticeable how dog friendly the area is. The cottage is in a quiet area next to the owners home. The village has a Lidl's,Tesco's express, Bakery and a small cafe which does coffees and breakfasts all within a few minutes walk. Walk to north or south beach takes about 20 minutes and they both never seem crowded even in the week leading up to the bank holiday. The Lavender farm is more with cafe, garden centre and large gardens. We also went to the Sea life centre at Hunstanton which is much bigger than the one we have at Southsea.
