Located at MP 6 3/4, Parrot's Perch is 'between the highways' this SAT-SAT cottage is great for a couple, small family, or groups wanting to keep additional family & friends close by. Our home, although in the tradition of the Old Nags Head style, is totally remodeled & up to date. This property is fresh, clean & modern on the inside... and out Parrot's Perch sits on a quiet pond. It's a great place to sit & relax on the Deck to watch the geese, ducks & turtles. The kitchen is fully equipped, right down to plenty of coffee mugs & wine glasses. Also available is an iron/board, hair dryer & towels are provided at no charge, basic amenities such as soap, paper products & trash bags supplied upon arrival. Bring your own sheets. Comfortable seating in Living area for a family of 6. The deck overlooking the pond is a great place to get a tan mid-day and cookout in the evening. Enjoy the front porch for coffee & breakfast in the morning & is a great place to sit & chat in the evenings. We provide a grill and clothes line for our guest's convenience. The house is located on the ground level so it has easy access for those who need fewer steps. Restaurants, shopping & movie theaters are with within walking distance. Has all you need. We ate every meal outside on the deck. Grilled several nights and my little dog loved the backyard and the family of ducks that visited on the water often. The new furniture arrangement in the living room is much better and we watched the Olympics every night. Over the years we’ve seen the addition of the swing and the picnic table. The host is so very generous with amenities, there is coffee and other cooking supplies. I am amazed at the cleanliness and overall decor, it’s so cozy. The fenced in backyard is perfect for dogs or kids (and adults too). The grass is so well kept you can walk around barefoot. There are lovely flowers all around the property. It’s close to the beach and just about anything else you may need, including restaurants and ice cream. This is the second year we have stayed here and we hope to book it again next year. However Parrots Perch made the days we had a wonderful experience. The cottage is decorated beautifully and was very comfortable. But is was the deck over the pond and the turtles and other wildlife that made our stay truly spectacular. The back yard and deck were favorite spots(for us and our pup) and enjoyed the gas grill. Feeding the turtles and birds added to the fun. Just a few blocks from the beach! Sep 4, 2016 #### Perfect location! We loved our stay at parrot's perch! The house is beautifully decorated and the perfect size for the two of us. We also loved that we could bring our dog and that the yard was fenced in. Everything was so convenient from the quick walk to the beach to all the brochures in the house letting us know all the fun experiences we could have.
