The Elbow Beach Clubhouse includes a fitness center, lounge area, pool table, and a full bathroom for guest use. The clubhouse and fitness center are open year-round from 7:00am to 9:00pm. The Bay has a pier perfect for fishing, launching kayaks, or just enjoying the view. If you're longing to feel the sand in your toes and simply must visit the beach, it's a very convenient 1.1-mile drive from the Bermuda Bay communities to the beautiful Kill Devil Hills beaches. Your colorful vacation accommodations at Purple Palace will brighten both your day and your spirits! Here, you will enjoy a true rarity on the Outer Banks - your own private garage! In addition, your three-story home boasts a fenced courtyard, comfortable furnishings and plenty of thoughtful touches. As you enter through the front door, you find yourself in the cozy living room outfitted with seating for 6, a flat screen-TV and a unique double-sided fireplace. Step through to a bright kitchen with tile floors and plenty of cabinets and counter space. The dining area boasts beautiful hardwood floors and seating for 6\. The other side of the fireplace is perfectly situated between kitchen and dining rooms. On the second level are the bedrooms. The King En Suite has a lovely sitting area with a chaise lounge and access to a deck. What a perfect spot for reading a few pages in your book or losing yourself in quiet thought. A Queen bedroom and bedroom with two Twins share a Jack 'n Jill style bath. Have some fun in the third level loft area with seating for 5, flat screen TV, foosball table, and Roll and Score game (similar to Skeeball). The kids will feel like they've got their own private hideaway with slanted ceilings and the feeling of "away from it all". Have yourselves a perfectly bright and sunny vacation at Devonshire Place! Purple Palace is pet-friendly, so there is no need to leave your pooch at home! For a small one-time fee of $155, you can bring up to two dogs to our pet-friendly property. No cats or other animals, dogs only. This property has 4 parking spots for guests. Trailers, U-Hauls, and campers are not permitted in the Bermuda Bay community. The Bermuda Bay community private outdoor community pools and/or waterpark play areas are available, weather permitting, beginning on weekends only (Friday to Sunday) May 1 to May 17\. Beginning May 22, the pool will be open daily and close on October 1 for the season. Please know that pool operating dates are subject to change at any point, for any reason. Check-In begins at 4pm. House was perfect for our last minute getaway with a group of teenagers. Perfect distance for bike riding to all the restaurants/attractions in KDH. Only downside was we were told that the pool was open from 10-9, and with teenagers, that’s important…especially on a red flag weekend…but the day we got there, the staff at the pool said they “decided” to change the times of the pool to 10-7\. The driveway is very short on a corner and garage is very tight. Couldn’t open our trunk on our Honda minivan inside garage and had to park as close as we could to the wall to shut the door. There is a parking spot around the corner of vehicle can’t fit. Besides that the rental had everything we needed. Neighborhood is very quiet too! Would stay there again! ##### Alyson H. I wiped down the other chairs. The refrigerator ice maker was very noisy and the stove cooked very slowly. Garage could have been swept out as well. Bathrooms were very clean. A blind was broken in the living area and they were prompt in offering to fix it. They mentioned a trash can outside, but as another review stated, it could not be found. We were very pleased with our stay at Bermuda Bay. There are not many houses available for rent on the outer banks that offer shorter stays. This was perfect for a long weekend! We originally booked the house pictured, but when we arrived at the address sent, it was a different house in the same neighborhood. That was fine! The house was bigger, there were more bathrooms, and since it was in the same general location it was close to all the same amenities.
