A unique find as this duplex unit is at the end of the causeway providing unparalleled views and privacy. Property features two docks with three boat slips (two 30' interior slips and a 120' outer seawall/dock) with quick access to the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. MINIMUM STAY: Minimum 7 day rentals start/end on Saturday (exceptions possible during low season, must be confirmed by Owner prior to booking) KEY COLONY BEACH FLORIDA KEYS VACATION RENTAL Beach Paradise is decorated and designed to give you the Florida Keys appeal you are looking for, from the palm trees framing the house outside to the tranquil water-views, this Florida Keys Vacation Rental is a true island gem. The Living Room is furnished with a sleeper sofa and comfortable seating providing great views of the water and Key Colony Beach through the large windows. Outside there is ample waterfront seating overlooking the bay (very private). Brand new 30' dock off the rear of the property. The home also features a gas grill and bait freezer. TRAILER PARKING One trailer may be parked in the driveway, the driveway is approximately 26' deep. Trailers must not interfere with visibility on the causeway and not be within 20' of centerline of road (I believe 25-30' trailer lengths will be fine). Additional trailer parking is available at the Key Colony Beach community parking area (inquire with KCB), note boats can not be on the trailer in this area (trailers only). Cabana Beach Club Information A membership to the Cabana Beach Club, located within walking distance on Key Colony Beach, is included in your stay. Sign-in with receptionist as you arrive at the Cabana Club and enjoy all of the amenities they have to offer for the duration of your stay (infinity pool, hot tub, private beach, bar, cafe, see below for more info). We often struggle with lacking kitchen equipment and dish/glassware at rentals. Not the case here. Great communication from the owner. Very responsive to a small issue we had with the cable TV. The new shared fingerling dock was nice and the property rear will be amazing once the rest of the hurricane damage is repaired. KCB is a nice laid back community that felt very safe, and property is walking distance to some nice restaurants. Nearby golf course wasn’t fancy but was a fun cheap way to get a few holes in. It makes great use of the space and I loved the separate bedrooms as the one we’d stayed in on the same road previously you had to walk through them. Access to cabana club is great as was the beautiful patio and dock. Brad had a travel cot which Was a must for us on this trip with our baby. Great communication. Great place, ideal for access to upper, middle and lower keys. A short drive from places like the famous Bahia Honda state park. We hired a kayak which we launched easily with the kids and the lagoon offers loads to see. Saw rays, moray eels, nurse sharks and other small fish directly from the property edge. Excellent for boating or fishing and the wider area is superb for diving or snorkelling. Brad was a great host, very easy to deal with, super quick answering some questions I had about the local area and the place was exactly what we wanted, with all the kit you would need for an easy holiday. The view/location of this unit could not have been better! The only small complaint I have is the queen bed is really loud when you move, so everytime my husband would move, I would wake up.. again that is a small complaint, everything else was as described, clean unit. A photographer’s delight. We viewed manatees, dolphins and flying leopard rays daily. The public tennis courts were a short bike ride away. The complimentary Cabana Club with beach membership was a nice perk! Both the baths were updated and the kitchen as well and equipped with very nice appliances. Everything was VERY clean upon arrival. A portion of the dock was still under reconstruction but plenty of room on the shared dock. ##### Susan A. The location is only a short hop from Key Colony Club where we were able to enjoy the pool, the restaurant and the beach on the Atlantic. Marathon is about midway down the Keys, and offers almost anything that nature lovers and serious eaters can want, whether you want to see the tiny Key deer or try every possible Cuban food on the many menus. First of all, another review said this rental was not good for children. This is definitely not true. My husband and I were there with our 15 month old son who is wild and into everything. He had a great time and didn't suffer any injuries that he doesn't get on a daily basis at home. We used some of the extra chairs to block off the deck steps so he could safely run around while we were outside. He loved running up and down the long hallway. There was a pack play at the house and it was great having a separate room to put him in. The location is perfect. We walked to the Cabana Club every morning and there were several restaurants to walk to at night. The Cabana Club exceeded our expectations with a nice pool, beach, and friendly staff. We rented a kayak for the week from Key Kayak. They dropped it off before we even got there and picked it up the morning we left for no additional charge. It's not a luxury house but it is exactly as described in the description and pictures. Really our only complaints would be the master bedroom bed is uncomfortable and loud, and there was no ESPN so we missed the NCAA college football championship game.
