It’s not far from Kemi bus station. Very quiet area. I arrived much earlier than 15:00 due to the flight schedule, but he let me in and I was able to take a rest. Free tea or coffee are available. It’s nice!

We don’t have hostels in the US- people are different there. It’s nice to share a space with people from around the world and see how respectful they are of the host, other guests and the facilities. Great prices. The top bunk is tiny to get into- as an adult and more challenging to get out of.

The best in Kemi for a budget traveller

Really nice small hostel in the centre of Kemi. Showers and toilets are at the corridor, but everything is really nice & clean. Everything works on key codes. Parking is free outside on the street. Big breakfast room and there is a small fridge in every room.

Everything was easy, and the whole process of checking in and out was a breeze. No pressure that made the stay convenient as we are then able to explore more of the area. Very near the VR station but if you are carrying heavy luggage, it's best to take taxi as it's slippery and hard to pull on the melting snow. Near grocery stores and 15mins walk to Centre for Restos. The Hostel is complete, can cook freely at the kitchen ( tho kitchen needs atleast monthly deep cleaning just to avoid getting sticky) Common area is big space with a nice frozen sea view, relaxing. Was apprehensive to book shared space but with its price, it has offered more than expected. Highly reccommended for budget travelers!

The building is an old residential building converted to something they call a hostel but is closer to a hippie commune. It's poorly maintained and some of the choices done during the conversion are borderline illegal (take for example placing a shower cubicle around a sprinkler). Lack of maintenance leads to problems with windows as well as heating, causing a freezing cold bathroom with only -3 C outside. Also not great for the environment. Just fix the seal in the windows, air your radiators, and you'll get away with half the heating. Can't say anything about service as there is none, full self-service. The bed was comfortable and the sheets clean, so at least there's that. Even considering the cheap price, I won't be visiting them again. To me the lack of personnel on site, the lack of maintenance and the type of clientel just scream that this place is going to burn down sooner or later. To be honest, you should not even be allowed to operate like this in the first place, but I suppose that's Kemi for you.

Checking in went fluently. You receive a code by email and that’s how you enter the door and with another code you can enter your bedroom. It was clean, you could use the saunas free of charge and there was a kitchen you could use. I also liked the television room/chill lounge. There where lots of boardgames you can play with other guests! The accommodation is close to a supermarket and also close to the trainstation.

Affordable nice hostel.

Very nice place. Even though the building was old it was in a ok shape. The cleaning could be made more thorougly. You could see in the corners that the cleaning has been made quite lightly for a long time :(
