### Paradise's Nest - Two Bedroom Cottage, Sleeps 6

This magnificent cottage is situated at the best possible spot just outside Argostoli, where you can escape for the most extraordinary holidays possible. Nestled in a lush, green environment atop the hill of Makris Gialos beach, it offers exactly what a group of travelers or a family seek: Sun, sea and privacy.  
Its privileged position gives you a sense of freedom and elation the moment you walk in. During your stay you will be able to enjoy some privacy but at the same time you can socialize in your own terms while enjoying the swimming pool of the adjacent bungalows complex.  
  
Around the cottage, though, lies the true spectacle. The Greek nature at its finest: a lush, green Mediterranean with olive trees, fig trees, herbs and flowers. The outdoor furniture, the rustic monastery dining table next to the BBQ facilities allow you to enjoy the nature while savoring a tasty meal, a long conversation of a round of cards with your company.   
  
This is a cottage made out of love for the Kefalonian island. The total space of the property is 16.000 square meters! It is a family cottage, where our great-grandfathers stayed to escape from the everyday life and take care of the wine estate, homemade vegetables and some little animals like lambs and chickens.   
  
There is another individual house on the ground floor of this building where the guard of the wine estate lives with his family. He is a happy person and would love to show you around anytime. 16.000 square meters is the total space you can walk and see the nature, be a part of it.   
  
The cottage includes everything a house needs to feel like a home away from home. It has fast, free Wi-Fi, accessible from any part of the house. A clean pair of linens for each bed is provided, along with a pair of bath set and towels for every guest. Toilet paper, cleaning and kitchen equipment are at your disposal. BBQ equipment, fridge, washing machine and many other house facilities can be used as well. Also, the fireplace is available with free wood sticks to light up.  
  
This is a nice neighborhood with a couple of villas and a hotel around. Next to our cottage, there is a big complex of bungalows, where there is a big swimming pool. You can use it for free. The pool is open from 1/5-30/9\. You can also take advantage of their great bar and restaurant facilities. The beach is only 15 minutes on foot. Keep in mind that the villa is on the hilltop, so the way down to the beach is easy but the way back is steep (20 min). There are also supermarkets on Lassi’s main road just 15 minutes away on foot.  
  
A car is recommended to get there, but you can use public transport on Lassi’s main road that passes by “Makris Gialos” and then walk to the house. The bus stop is a 5’ walk from the cottage. A car is better though, as you will be able to drive to the best parts of the island that are close by.

From Kefalonia International Airport Anna Pollatou head southeast for about 110m. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit and continue for 700m. Turn left and after 140m turn right. Continue driving for 700m, turn left and after 400m turn left onto EO Svoronata - Lakithras. After 180m turn left onto EO Argostoliou - Lakithras - Pessadon. Drive for approximately 4.7km and then turn left. After 69m turn left and after 130m turn right. You will find your destination on your left after 290m.

Above all, Clio was an excellent property manager and went above and beyond to help us with any queries we had, we thank her for everything she did for us. The apartment is set in beautiful, quiet countryside close to amenities and shops. The pool is excellent and very close by. The apartment was spacious and clean.

#### Beautiful view

Upon arrival Clio our host was very helpful.She provided helpful information about the island and recommendations. The hill is steep to get to the property, if you struggle to walk you will need a car! Staying at paradise nest you were able to use the hotel nearby (a 2 min walk) Dionysos. The view is beautiful from here, you are made to feel welcome, the pool is great and the facilities are kept tidy and clear. The bar food is tasty (I wouldn't fault anything with Dionysos). Paradise Nest has a rustic charm, set away from any noise it has captivating sunsets, and a fantastic view. The terrace is excellent for entertaining. Inside the property it could do with a re-fresh, some of the spare linen had stains on, and the sofas are worn and very uncomfortable. The shower isn't great, inconsistent temperature (very hot one moment and cold the next). It could do we a little less furniture in the rooms, and main living area (art on the walls are strange considering there is a cross which also hangs on the wall). The location is fab, Lassi has many restaurants to go to. Two faults that I feel must be mentioned, is the animal welfare around the property. Take care of the cats, get them neutered (a kitten had died by the terrace whilst staying) they are in a very tragic condition. Chickens had no water, and a freshly hatched chick had no means of getting out of the crate to get a drink. A discrepancy in payment (accepting the offer made) was not honoured. Disappointing end.
