Hotel New Nagano NeXT
Excellent central hotel in Nagano, very close to the station (around 5 min walk). We checked in late after the Shinkansen from Tokyo and the process was quick and efficient. The breakfast was good and twinned with Wendy’s so there was the option of a burger as well. Clean and tidy hotel.

Hotel Metropolitan Nagano
Great location right next to the train station and easy to access train, and local tram and buses. 30 mins walking dustance to the Zenkoji temple or a quick bus ride. The hotel is a big one and the staff was very helpful to our requests. There are lots of restaurants and shops around the hotel.

We stayed for one night. The staff provided excellent service, although they don't speak English well. The room was spacious and clean. There is a kitchen and washing machine with dryer, which are suitable for long stays. 30 mins drive from Karuizawa Station. In winter, the road becomes slippery ...
