The upstairs was definitely the pick of the rooms. Plenty of parking on the road and an easy walk into town. The driveway is quite steep if that worries anyone. The ducted air con heating is great. The drive is very steep, but the kitchen is equipped really well and has all the essentials you need. Overall good value for money and close to some great lookouts and walks. It has wonderful views and is spacious. It was cold while we were in Katoomba and the heating worked well. Bedrooms are not equal in size and configurations - could be a problem if everyone in your group wants the best bedroom :). Cleanliness might be better, I found that floor was not up to my standards and some cups had tea/coffee marks when we took them out of the cupboard for the first time. We had power outage and there were no flash light(s) and we could not find candles so went to the shops to get some. There is a grand piano, but no music sheets unfortunately.
