Not a detail was spared in the gorgeous historic building and lush forest grounds. The several course meals were outstanding, served in our private dining room and the staff was beyond helpful and gracious. The multiple onsens on property were beautiful and healing, you can even reserve one for an hour of private use. To get there, board a shinkansen and get off at the train station that is about 25 minutes away from the hotel and hotel staff will meet you with a private car to pick you up. It is top notch luxury, yet you are still immersed in the culture, and it doesn't feel pretentious. まず出迎えは普通でした。 夕ご飯の時給仕して下さった女性があまり感じが良く無く、一人旅なので更に何だか一挙につまらなく感じられました。お食事は美味しかったのに残念です。 前日誕生日だったのに……宿帳に記入しても誰も気が付かないし、別に何かして頂きたい訳ではありませんが、私が接客業を長くしていた為かお客様に対して無関心さがどうしても気になりました。 お風呂は朝入りに行くと前日の夜私が洗い場のゴミ箱に捨てたシャンプー、コンディショナーの袋がそのままでした。 老舗の宿で数日前、動画でも観て、なる程そんな昔の職人技が見られる宿なのかと期待して来たのに。況してやおもてなしで有名な宿と伺っておりましたの残念です。 女将は声をかけて下さったりしましたが…… 伊豆は退職してから年に二三度来ますがあまり宜しくなかったです。
