No wine at the resort?? All of our tours were to be included but they charged us 120 US dollars for the two of us. Not very willing to negotiate. The resort itself was very relaxing and calm. Louis our tour guide was very good. The other staff should have some basic English skills. The food was awesome!! The hotel is situated inside of the river, which you get to by a canoe. This makes the view and experience so much better and breath taking. The guest rooms are small bungalows with very modern amenities. Great pool with hammocks and very beautiful scenery. Birds chirping at night and in the morning. The food was amazing and the staff was very accommodating. There’s two time frames through out the day that the lights are “out” but it’s mostly during the day when you’re exploring the amazon or in the pool and after about 10-11 pm while most guests are sleeping. From what I saw in the river, this is one of the more modern hotels. Would definitely stay here again if I return to Iquitos. It’s definitely a beauty and great for the price! Basically the only complaint is about the staff. Not friendly at all. Always we felt leflt aside with the service. The one thing that really upset us was when our child (5 year old) broke a small plate and they tried to charge us that. After spending hunders of dollars, they wanted to charge us 8 PEN (about 2.5 USD).
