Staying in the Lake Inari mobile cabins was a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Sleeping on the ice and watching the Northern Lights dance above us was absolutely magical — without a doubt one of the highlights of our trip. Yes, it was cold outside, but that’s part of the adventure, and the cabin itself was wonderfully warm and comfortable. The shared areas were also very cozy and inviting. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we really enjoyed the delicious breakfast in the morning. A fantastic experience that we would warmly recommend!

An unforgettable experience in life

As an asian city person, it was almost impossible to imagine living on a lake during winter. Although I couldn’t see any aurora during the days I stayed in Inari, it was satisfying looking into the sky in the cabin at night and under sunlight. The hosts are very nice and friendly that he helped me to check the aurora status and the flight status of leaving Inari (since the corona virus is spreading and many flight has been cancelled). He also helped me to register for the activities in Inari that I don’t have to walk to the the Inari center by myself. You will have everything you need in the main building and the cabin stay would be very satisfying. I have lived in another normal hotel in Inari and the experience was unable to compare with this. I would like to go again if I can, so I would highly recommend whoever is reading this to stay and have a try. I do think it was one of my most wonderful night in life when staying in the cabin.

A memorable experience of staying on ice lake

We did have a very happy stay in the mobile cabin and it has been the best Aurora experience out of my trip while surrounded by Aurora on the bed. Esko was nice and helpful owner which you will find support and useful information from him.

寝転がって見上げれば、オーロラが見えました！！

12月31日大晦日から1月1日元旦にかけ、夫婦2人でオーロラを見たくてこちらに宿泊しました！イナリ湖の西側に位置するこちらの場所では、20時過ぎ～1時過ぎまで、断続的にオーロラが見えました☆☆しかも頭上に！！！前日の12月30日にサーリセルカ高台で見たオーロラは北側の空でしたが、こちらのイナリ湖からは真上に見えました。オーロラが見えるかは運次第ですが、それ以外にもこちらの宿は価値ある施設です！サーリセルカから路線バスで17：00に到着しましたが、バス停にあるホテルイナリ前まで、快くお迎えに来て下さいました。翌朝もロバニエミに向かうために早朝7：00のバスでしたが、快く送っていただきました☆もちろん無料です！！早朝にも関わらず、朝食も準備していただけました。共同スペースのキッチンやダイニングでは、たくさんの国籍の方とスペースを共有しながら、楽しい年末を迎えられました。英語がほぼ話せない私達でも安心して過ごせました。オーナーのエスコさんは気さくな方で、事前にメールで送迎をお願いした時もすぐに返事を下さり、優しい回答にとても安心できました！キャビンの中も温かく暖房設備が整っています。キャビンは21時頃出発の湖上への移動までは、電源も通っているので部屋でカメラやスマホを充電できます。もちろん共同スペースでもたくさんのコンセントがあり充電できます！出発後は電気は通っていないので、充電出来ないので注意です！でも暖房は効いているので一晩中温かいです。キャビンの広さはスーツケースを広げられます！キャビンのトイレはポータブルトイレをカーテンで仕切る感じなので、夫婦や家族なら大丈夫ですが、友人同士や年頃の子供と一緒なら、トイレ中は外に出ているのが良いかもですね（笑）施設の周りには何もないので、食材が必要なら事前に買い出しが必要です、近くのレストランやスーパーまでは車だと5分程度ですが、歩くと15分～20分はかかると思います。エスコさんが他のゲストを迎えに行くタイミングに便乗して（ホテルイナリ前バス停に目の前にスーパーがあるので）既に到着していた他のゲストが買い出しに行っていました！僕らは事前に買い出しをしていたので、お湯を沸かしてお皿やコップなどの食器を借りて、食事しました。今回は旅の時間が限られていたので、夕方到着の早朝出発の短い滞在でしたが、本当は早目に到着したり、ゆっくり目の出発で、色々なスノーアクティビティを楽しみたかったです☆夜中でも外でオーロラを見て写真撮影をし、寒くなれば温かい部屋に入って寝転がって見れると言うこちらのキャビンは最高でした！！年末年始に良い思い出ができました！また遊びに来ます！！色々とお世話になりました、エスコさんkiitos !!

The best place for aurora

Incredible experience and mobile cabin is the best part of our trip. Everything at mobile cabin worth two thumb up. Comfortable cabin with warm and lovely bed ＋great privacy while we stay at the middle of the lake. Certainly the best place for the the aurora cause limited light pollution , we are so lucky to have aurora dancing over our head.
