#### This futuristic structure with a gleaming glass front is the city’s foremost venue for business conferences, concerts, theatre performances and trade fairs.

ICE Kraków Congress Centre is a multipurpose complex for business, cultural and entertainment events. With 395,250 square feet (36,720 square meters) of space, the convention center can host a range of activities for large audience numbers. The name ICE is an acronym of International Conferences and Entertainment. Attend an event here and make use of state-of-the-art facilities set within a spectacular contemporary building. 

Architects, designers and sound engineers from Japan, Poland and the United Kingdom contributed to the creation of the venue. Its exterior consists of glass panels and titanium-zinc sheets with ceramic and stone elements. The stone represents the materials used to build the historic landmarks set on nearby Wawel Hill.

Within the center are three main auditoriums with audience capacities of 300, 600 and 1,900\. In addition, there are rooms suitable for art exhibitions, balls and banquets. From the foyer enjoy views across the Vistula River to Wawel Hill and the Kazimierz district through the eastern wall, which is made entirely of glass.

The Congress Centre opened in 2014 with a concert performance by Ewa Lipska and Zbigniew Preisner. Today, the center continues to entertain its many visitors with performances by ballet companies, folkloric dance troupes, opera singers and tribute bands. Other events range from medical conventions to wedding fairs.

The venue is located in the Ludwinów district of Kraków and is about a 20-minute walk from the Old Town via Grunwaldzki Bridge. Public buses and trams stop nearby. Park in the two-level metered parking deck with spaces for over 300 vehicles. If you are attending a show, pre-purchase a ticket, which grants parking for 90 minutes prior to the event until one hour after it finishes.

We had a wonderful stay at the Aparthotel Oberza. The staff were really helpful ahead of and during our stay, arranging airport transfers, trips and ensuring our rooms were ready when we arrive early following a very early flight, which was much appreciated. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet overlooking the pretty courtyard, with a lovely balcony to sit out on. Breakfast was delicious and huge! With plenty of veggie options. The location is excellent within easy walk of river, castle and main square, and there are plenty of great bars and restaurants in the surrounding streets. We had a great stay and will be back.
