This was our 2nd visit within the year to The Standard Maldives, it’s just amazing to be recognised by the staff from the previous visit. the whole team are just amazing. Fabulous island with wonderful reef and lovely friendly and efficient staff who went out of their way to be helpful. Food was excellent as were facilities. Plentiful water (still and sparkling filtered) in the room at all times, replenished multiple times a day. Nice toiletries. We didn't do many activities but greatly enjoyed the beginners dawn yoga class. Overwater bungalow was beautiful and possible to see fish, sharks and rays from your room. I'd have like to have seen a little more action on sustainability (ensuring appropriate behaviour over reefs, reefsafe sunscreen etc, and also introducing - or acting on - optional daily towel and sheet changes (ours were changed multiple times a day, despite us hanging up towels). I understand that The Standard is starting a cooperation with a conservationist to improve information about the coral etc which would be great. It is worth noting that, in line with the branding of the hotel, there is very often quite loud music in the pool / bar area.

We came here for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it!!!! The weather wasnt great for parts of it and the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was good, everyone is friendly and so much fun! The food is top!!!! Amazing place. Friendly staff, great food and beautiful surroundings. Accommodation was as described. All restaurants must be tried - amazing. Our point of contact took care of everything, was in touch with us during the entire stay and always organised everything and anything we wanted. Excellent resort.
