Part of the Keepers Cottages, the Wexford can be rented on its own or together with the adjoining Carruthers Cottage for more space. INSIDE: As you walk in, you’re greeted by a cozy, open space with vintage cottage charm and updated comforts. Kick off your shoes and sink into the couch while your favorite show streams on the Smart TV. Or grab a board game and challenge your travel buddies to a little friendly competition. The kitchen is stocked for whatever you’re craving — whether that’s a hearty breakfast before hitting the beach or your go-to pasta after sunset. I’ve made sure it’s easy for you to cook, snack, or sip with ease. The funky retro dining table is one of my favorite touches — perfect for sharing meals or late-night card games. You'll love how everything feels easy, casual, and just right for slowing down. A locked gate connects you to the Carruthers Cottage next door — ideal if you want to plan a bigger getaway with friends or extended family. NOTES: Parking is limited to 2 vehicles Max 2 Pets are allowed but must sign separate pet addendum Linens are available for $20/per person. This includes Tea Towels, Dishcloths, Sheets & Pillowcases, Bathroom towels, Hand towels and Face cloths. Does not include Beach Towels. Note: Guest is required to provide government issued photo id, provide a separate security deposit of $500, and sign a separate cottage rental agreement-including names of all invitees who will occupy the property. The historical lighthouse is newly restored and is the shiny diamond on Point Clark. And you can see it from your beach! On November 9, 1913, during the infamous "White Hurricane"—the deadliest storm in Great Lakes history—the Wexford sank in Lake Huron with all 20 souls aboard, including 18 crew members and 2 passengers. The ship was carrying 96,000 bushels of wheat from Fort William to Goderich when it was overwhelmed by hurricane-force winds and towering waves. For 87 years, the Wexford's final resting place remained a mystery until it was discovered in 2000, sitting upright in 75 feet of water off the coast near Grand Bend. Today, the wreck serves as a poignant reminder of the lake's power and the maritime history that shapes Point Clark's identity. Séjour de 4 nuits en août 2025 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Lisa N. 16 juill. 2025 Points forts : Propreté Great little place, a nice large fenced in yard suitable for kids and dogs. Close to the beach. Lots of storage room in the closets. The host was very responsive to an issue that arose. The inside was clean and well taken care of. The one ensuite bedroom mattress was a bit uncomfortable(cheater ensuite) but the queen bed in the kids room was great. The two twin beds I can't vouch for, but the kids didn't complain. There was a dish sponge to use, but no bath mat supplied for the bath/shower. Very close to the beach. We brought an extra little table fan to move the air whicch was very helpfull to cool the place down ontop of the ceiling fan in the living room and ac wall unit (the days were around 30 the whole stay).
