Hurley Vacation Packages

The people at the University Plaza were great. Very pleasant and friendly. The room was not great. It's old and outdated. The bathtub was dirty and stained. It definitely needs to be replaced. There are no USB connections anywhere in the room. The carpet is worn and also in need of replacement. This used to be a great property and was one of the nicer places in Springfield at one time. Those days are in the past unless they upgrade and clean the place up a little.

I enjoyed the quiet as well as the Route 66 theme.

Hotel was pretty full, the breakfast room not large enough, people were walking away. Breakfast was decent. Room was comfortable and clean, but we will skip this one next time.

It was one of the better places I have stayed. Friendly staff greeted us and was easy check in. As always happens there is something wrong. The elevator wasn't working during our 3 day stay and our rooms were on the second floor. We had 2 rooms and going to the second floor via the stairs would not normally be a problem but one of our party has health issues and climbing stairs was a problem. With that being said, all else was great. One of the cleanest rooms, most comfortable bed, nicest swimming pools, best breakfast and helpful staff I have had in a long time. I would recommend and stay again.

I don’t think a hotel this classy needs to lie on their Expedia page about having free parking. It’s fine that it’s a $15/night valet or find your own public parking nearby, but I don’t like being lied to. Also, I didn’t realize we’d have to exit the hotel proper and cross an alley to get to our room, but I guess that was fine since it happened to be between thunderstorms and still light out. The room was very clean and had nice amenities, but the toilet seat was loose and the shower door squeaked and leaked. Traffic in the area was loud, but that can’t really be helped. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
