I stayed at Maverick Apartments Budapest recently and had a decent overall experience. The room itself was okay — not amazing, but not bad either. The building is clearly quite old and historic, which gives it character, but it also explains why the rooms probably aren’t heavily renovated. Because of that, some things felt a bit worn. The washroom had a strong smell, and the toilet flush button was broken during my stay. I assume these issues come with maintaining an older property, though they were still noticeable. On the positive side, the location is excellent — you’re basically close to everything, which makes exploring the city very convenient. The staff were also friendly and welcoming, which definitely improved the stay. Overall, it’s a reasonable place if you mainly want a great location and don’t mind a few imperfections in the room.

What an experience from start to finish… My stay at Hotel Al-Habtoor in Budapest was nothing short of exceptional, and I can confidently say it exceeded every expectation. From the moment I arrived, the customer service was flawless. The reception staff were warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming, making check-in smooth and stress-free. Throughout my stay, every request was handled promptly and with a smile, which truly made me feel valued as a guest. The staff across the entire hotel deserve special recognition. From housekeeping to concierge to restaurant staff, everyone was attentive, courteous, and highly professional. It’s clear that hospitality is taken very seriously here, and the team works together seamlessly to provide a five-star experience. The spa and wellness facilities were absolutely superb. The atmosphere was calm and luxurious, the facilities were spotless, and the treatments were deeply relaxing. It was the perfect place to unwind after exploring the city, and it added a real sense of indulgence to the stay. As for the food, it was outstanding. Every meal was beautifully presented and full of flavor, with high-quality ingredients and a great variety of options. Breakfast was especially impressive, offering both local and international selections to suit all tastes. Dining at the hotel felt like a culinary experience in itself. Great location, easy to access the city centre in about 15 minutes walking. Staff were very helpful and friendly on our arrival and helped accommodate our preferences. Hotel was clean and felt very nice especially given the price.

The room was "as pictured" and nice. I still dislike (seems to be a European thing) of having only a portion of the shower (no bathtub - which is fine) covered by a glass partition. As a result, expect some water to splash across the floor. The hotel does have a great view of the river and Buda.
