Beautiful resort in the mountains. The night reception & bartender (originally from Poland) was so nice, friendly and informative! Bar had an extensive selection of akvavit! Breakfast was superb. Very neat lounge too.

Easter weekend at Hovdestøylen

My family spent 4 nights at Hovdestøylen over the Easter long weekend. We had a 3-bedroom unit in a wing next to the main hotel that was modern and well equipped. A cross-country ski trail runs right past the hotel, and the downhill ski centre is about a 5 min drive away. Parking can be a little crowded during the après-ski hours but we always managed to find a place. Nice bar area with large screen TV, fireplace and shuffleboard. Very friendly service in the bar/restaurant and at reception.

Fantastisk flott hotell. Både estetisk og selve oppholdet. Ligger nydelig plassert ved elven, Så er du heldig (som vi var), så får du rom på siden mot elven. Rommene var store, romslige og rene. Nå har det jo vert en hetebølge i landet, så vi skulle jo ha ønsket at de hadde aircondition på hotellet eller hvertfall vifter på rommene (da vi ikke kan ha vinduene åpne på kvelden pga så mye innsekter på utsiden). Men det gikk heldigvis fint. Veldig god frokost, god mat (kunne kanskje hatt en litt større meny), gode drinker. Hjelpsomme personale da både oss og andre gjester spurte om tips og råd om turer osv i området. Supert opphold, anbefales.

Rent og fint hotell med hyggelig betjening. Bra frokost, men restauranten hadde ved middagsserveringen variabel kvalitet på maten, men hyggelig personell. Nydelige forretter, men Pizzaen var elendig og ble ikke spist, men fikk ikke refusjon for denne, selv om den ble sendt tilbake.
