About this property

BEST VIEW on Lake Hamilton

  • No kidding, the view is spectacular with Mount Riante in the distance. We are on the main channel facing due South which is important because it means NO MOSQUITOES and there is always a nice breeze.

    We are just outside the city limits of Hot Springs which means we are minutes away from everything, 5 minutes from Oaklawn Park, yet located on a private, quiet peninsula.

    We have a boat dock available with a marina a few hundred yards away to gas up the boat. You will put your boat in at Hill Wheatley park and hop across the main channel to our boat dock.

    We have covered parking for your vehicle or your boat trailer. You will want to put your boat in prior to coming to cottage as we have a steep driveway.

Its a darling little cabin on the lake with great views. It is dated some but in good shape. The driveway has a steep incline ftom the garage to the cabin. But all in all we loved our stay and the host communicates very well and would highly recommend!

Long weekend

Rustic lakehouse, great views. Driveway a little rustic as well. Great stay. Bedroom door could use a shade if you want to sleep past 6:30am. Do recommend for a rustic stay.

Relax on the lake

Nice place to hang out for a couple of days. Reminds to lake cottages of my youth. Everything was perfect because of the company and location.

Gorgeous view, rustic lodging

Happy with our choice, what we were looking for - but definitely rustic - older cabin, wear and tear. The beds were comfortable. And the view and access to water were excellent. Area for dog relief was rough and not convenient - wish they had an easy to access grassy area available.

Enjoyed a few days on the lake.

Our family of 5 and dog stayed at this little cottage. We enjoyed swimming off of the dock and the ability to park our boat. We enjoyed nearby hiking and exploring. We would love to come back. Don’t expect 5 Star, but it does the job for a great price. I am tall and had to duck through doorways and there were a ton of crane flies, but no deal breakers. We enjoyed waking up to the river. Thanks for the enjoyable family get away.

The perfect view

Our cabin was more than comfortable. It had the most amazing view of the lake but most importantly a most perfect view of the total eclipse. A perfect place for a perfect day. Close to everything and host was easy to communicate with. This place will forever be part of a memory of a lifetime, thank you! We recommend it highly.

Perfect Getaway!

We needed to run away for our 30th anniversary from St. Louis. It was beyond perfect! The place was so qaint and welcoming. I loved that we could bring our dog. We spent every minute on the dock, or the deck. Probably the only time that I have been in a lake in October, around here. Totally PERFECT!

A hidden gem

I recommend getting there during the daylight to ensure you find the property easily. If you consider where you are at and who’s around you, this is absolutely a Total win. The views were spectacular. I loved having a place for my car and bikes. I found the easy way to get back-and-forth that wasn’t too dusty. And there are ways to get to downtown Hot Springs from here. We will be back

My 2 daughters, 1 of their friends and myself (mom) booked this cabin for a mini spring break that would let us bring our 2 puppies. What a pleasure this Lake House provided. the weather did not cooperate, but the property was perfect. we were able to play with the puppies, go hiking in the national park, cooked at the cabin for supper one evening, cooked breakfast daily. Plenty room for all of us. Enjoyed seeing deer. Spent evenings watching movies. were going to play games provided by the host but just ran out of time. We loved the cozy "lake" decorations and theme. We had no issues with the directions to reach our destination. All the rules provided were exactly as stated. We fell in love with this little property and would definitely visit again. Hopefully in the summer so we can enjoy the lake. The property is just minutes from downtown Hot Springs and we were able to enjoy the St Patricks day parade. Enjoyed some shopping and on our last day were able to visit the Bath house and spent time just soaking int he water! Thank you so much for providing such a special property to unwind, relax and bring our dog.

Property looks even better than the VRBO pictures.There are concrete steps from the dock area that go into the lake. Water is shallow enough for young children, but quickly deepens. Perfect for swimming.The bedroom is very large and could easily fit additional cribs/pack n plays.Host was very accommodating and quick to reply to messages. A great stay and a beautiful lakeside retreat.

Property was great, very relaxing. Only downside was the glass door to bedrooms needs some type of curtain installed. No sleep in due to light coming in. The only shower was super tiny but doable. Everything was provided, plenty of bedding, towels, dishes. Be prepared for the steep driveway!! loved it, would stay again.
