"This was a great property to stay at. The only thing that might have made it better would have been a bigger fitness (workout) room. Too small for the size of property. But everything else was wonderful. "

"Lovely property with nice amenities. My wife was stuck in an elevator. No one responded to her pressing the alarms in the elevator, nor did anyone respond to her calls on the elevator phone for at least 10 minutes. She called me on her cell phone and I walked to the front desk to report the issue. Only then was there a response. The maintenance person who responded was not very polite - his comment to my wife was that she should "calm down." We were surprised that no one from management followed up with us. A plate of fruit was delivered to our room - as we were checking out."

"Room was clean and we had a suite which was very nice. the main restaurant canoe house was great as well as the Mediterranean one. The pool restaurant /shack has chicken fingers which weee too hard. I’d skip the luau. We paid $700 for 3 of us and it was at th parking garage at the back of the property not he beach as I thought initially whe the friend we were traveling with suggested it. Note to self to research myself. The beach was overcrowded due to it being spring break and we couldn’t get chairs if we went in the afternoon because people would leave their things in the chairs. The staff said there was a wait list and at one point we had to wait uber half an hour to get chairs even though some looked unoccupied. Kids club was great and educational activities. Because my daughter is younger than 5 I stayed with her. Overall a good experience but they should try to make sure paying guests aren’t waiting for beach and pool chairs during peak season. "

"We were so pleased with our stay. The property was very well maintained, clean, beautiful and comfortable. The amenities were great. We loved the hot tub and sauna and extra bathroom, laundry and shower in the breezeway. There were fresh flower arrangements and a bowl of fruit waiting for us at check in which was very appreciated. We have lived in this area before and always appreciate being able to visit Waipi’o Valley, one of the most beautiful and sacred places on the island, which is just 7 minutes up the road. The weather is always terrific on the Hāmākua Coast. We were able to get down to Hilo for the Merrie Monarch Ho‘olaule’a one day and over to Kona the next day. The kitchen was well equipped and helped us feel at home to be able to make a meal at the end of the day. This is a great location and property we hope to stay during our next visit.Mahalo nui loa,Dave"
