Highest reviews, new 6-person hot tub, large private heated pool with slide and the perfect location that is very walkable to downtown Surf City! This large beach home is perfect for 2 families with great sleeping options for 11 people and 3 full bathrooms + an outside private shower and 2 water heaters. It is one of the premium vacation properties on the island. It is located approximately 0.5 miles south of the Surf City high-rise bridge on upscale “South Shore Drive” which puts you within walking distance to lots of restaurants, bars, groceries, shops, Surf City Pier and more! South Shore Drive is a 25 mph, oceanfront beach road that is only local traffic. It is the perfect place for an exercise run, bike ride or family walk. You can literally put your keys away for the week. We strive to make the house appealing to families with amenities like beach chairs, ping-pong table, gas grill, highchair, baby gate, pack & play and a second overflow refrigerator in the downstairs storage area. This ocean view 2nd row home has two beach accesses just a short walk across the street, literally 100 feet away. After you spend a day at the beach you can enjoy the large private backyard heated swimming pool that includes a slide for hours of enjoyment for the kids while you relax in the hot tub. The back yard is perfect for our guests to relax, sunbathe, listen to music, enjoy your favorite beverage, read, or enjoy an afternoon nap or have a family cookout with the outdoor grill. The pool is very large for the island with 10k gallons and measures 16' x 32' in length with a large slide. It is heated in the cooler months for free (mid-March - October 31st). The pool is closed Nov 1st through Mar 1st. The house consists of 2 main floors. The lower main living area contains the kitchen, ½ bath, laundry, dining room, master suite and bath. The kitchen has granite counter tops and is well stocked so you can prepare anything from a large breakfast to spaghetti dinners or burgers on the outside grill. The large dining room table comfortably accommodates 8 guests plus 4 bar stools at the peninsula bar. In the evenings when the sun sets and you are ready to wind down, sink into the large sectional and settle in for relaxation watching the large TV with soundbar. There is also a large front porch that has as a nice outdoor upholstered furniture which is the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee or happy hour drink. On the second floor the kids have their own space to enjoy their favorite shows, DVDs or games in the upstairs entertainment room. Additionally, upstairs we have 3 bedrooms with 2 king beds and a charming custom built bunk room that contains 3 twin-XL beds & a queen bed. Separating the bedrooms are 2 full bathrooms with double sink vanities. Another full-length covered deck is along the front of the house where you can sit in rocking chairs and have magnificent views of the ocean and pier. In today’s fast-paced lifestyle, there is no room for second best and for the “cross your fingers” strategy to selecting a vacation destination. It is exactly as described. The house is in a great location, clean, quiet neighborhood, beds were very comfortable and the air conditioner worked great, even on the second floor. Pool was fun for everyone and there are coffee shops, ice-cream parlors and a local market nearby and all within walking distance. Publix, Food Lion and Walmart are all about a five minute drive. Tons of seashells for the littles to collect. We watched the sunrise, which was spectacular! The check in/check out process was easy and although we did not need anything during our stay, Eric touched base just in case. A fully stocked kitchen made family dinners easy. The washing stations and outdoor shower helped to keep the house free from sand. The pool and hot tub was a plus after a beach day. The outdoor porches were not only comfortable but each one offered a different view. The location was perfect for a short walk or bike ride to town. Eric stayed in contact throughout our visit making sure we didn’t need anything. Overall experience was exceptional. The place was super comfortable with all the kitchen supplies we needed as a multigenerational family of 7! The place felt super clean and beds and furniture were comfortable! This is our third year staying at this wonderful property. The owners maintain this house so well. The proximity to the beach is great with 3 young kids. This was our 3rd year renting this house and it was just as special as alwsys. Spotless, well equipped and so comfortable. The walk to the beach was about 1 minute. Our family trip to Topsail would not be complete if unable to stay here. This was our 4th time and I could not be more complimentary. Eric is so easy to communicate with and the property is always in top condition. Having a pool is such a delight and our kids (and grown ups!) love the slide. If you want the beach then it is a minute walk. If you want a pool then it is right in the back yard. Plenty of little shops and bars within a 10 minute walk.the family enjoyed the pool mostly but we did a half day trip to Wilmington. 40 minutes away. The pool and grounds were immaculate. Our host, Mr. & Mrs. Youngblood was so accommodating. They met and exceeded all of our needs and responded immediately on any questions we ask. The booklet he furnishes has every detail you should need while staying there. They, also, have recommendations for local restaurants. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at their property again. The property was extremely clean and organized. The kitchen was better equipped than my home kitchen. The owner has provided everything we could possibly need, from bikes to beach chairs. This is a beautiful property and very well maintained and stocked for those of us that enjoy cooking. This place is a gem! We were able to grill and cook inside, the supplies are best. The pool was AMAZING! The slide is game changer so fun for grown people the proximity to the beach is perfect!! The ocean views from upper deck are beautiful. We had a wonderful time. The group consisted of two of my brothers, one of their spouses, my husband and myself. really were pleased with seeing our American flag when we arrived. The pool with the slide was a HUGE hit with our whole family! Our almost two year old granddaughter loved playing on the “platform step” in the pool. There were retractable safety gates on the living room level going up and down the stairs, keeping our little ones safe. An upstairs closet had two additional safety gates so we could also block the stairs on the second floor going down. The safety gate and door alarm leading to the pool was added security for anyone with small children. The beach cart allowed us to easily transport all of our gear in one trip across the street to the nearby ocean access. There was plenty of parking space on the property. The multiple decks on both sides of the house offered great views. The home is nicely located within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. There was easy and quick communication with the owners. The house is perfect for families not traveling with dogs. ##### Jeanne S. It was fall break for our 5 year old, so we planned a family trip. It was my husband, myself, our son, my dad, my brother and his girlfriend. Everything was wonderful! The beds and couch were very comfortable! The kitchen has everything you need...I even brought stuff to do some baking, per my brothers request, and there were pmenty of kitchen supplies to get it done. They had both a keurig and a coffee pot, so plenty of options for caffeination. The pool, slide and hot tub were amazing. We ran into a couple issues where the pump/heater weren't working when we went to get in, but Eric was so responsive and got the issue resolved immediately. It was great having the garage to store our beach stuff and the hoses to rinse everything off after. Not having to worry about a key/card for the main door was so convenient also. The only thing I could have asked for was to stay longer because it was just wonderful to be on vacation at such an immaculate house, a beautiful beach and with everything you could need just a walk or 10 min drive away. Also, get your legs in shape for stairs...there are lots of stairs, especially if you aren't sleeping on the main level. ##### Amanda S.
