#### Shop, drink, dine and enjoy the sunshine in Glenelg’s leisure precinct, a scenic marina and departure point for sailboat trips and dolphin-spotting tours.

At the northern end of Glenelg’s foreshore discover a busy hub of shopping, dining and leisure at Holdfast Shores Marina. Enjoy a stellar view of the ocean and mix with the locals at one of the marina’s bars.

Spend a whole day at the Holdfast Shores Marina, shopping, exploring, eating and drinking. Have a relaxed brunch in the morning or coffee and cake in the afternoon at one of the cafés. Meander along the promenade and choose a place to eat local delights from the sea, such as prawns from the Spencer Gulf, King George Whiting or Coffin Bay Oysters. Sip on one of South Australia’s magnificent wines. You can enjoy Greek, Italian, Japanese or Chinese cuisine, as well as classic pub fare. Have a sunset drink and watch the day disappear into a flurry of bright colours as the sun sets over the ocean.

Holdfast Shores Marina is the departure point for scenic and adventure boat tours. Venture out on a dolphin-spotting catamaran and you’ll get to experience splashing in the ocean with the dolphins that swim freely up to your boat. Hundreds of common and bottlenose dolphins live in this area. They are wild, which means they don’t come up to boats for gifts of food, but rather to enjoy the interaction with humans. You’re sure to have an unforgettable day on the sea while exploring Holdfast Bay. 

Holdfast Shores Marina is a great way to enjoy the charming and friendly seaside suburb of Glenelg. The suburb is approximately 10 kilometres (6.2 miles) away from the centre of Adelaide and reachable via the heritage tramway. The marina precinct’s modern white apartment blocks surround a tranquil marina full of moored yachts, matching the Mediterranean climate of this part of South Australia. Choose a holiday apartment at the marina and wake up to views of the ocean every day.
