A stunning historical cottage, renovated sympathetically to period and with bespoke fittings and fixtures. The hosts provide a beautiful goodie basket of local foods and wine as well as a lovely port and fudge. The cottage is very comfortable with a gorgeous bathroom, sitting room, king sized bed and a dressing room. Owners were wonderful nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast provisions were yummy and so was the coffee. Only negative was the steepness of the stairs which you do need to traverse carefully. In a very handy position for sightseeing and in a quiet location too. A tangeable little piece of history. What a great surprise this place was. An unexpected home away from home. We were warmly greeted on arrival by Susan who showed us around the flat and gave us tips on where to dine. The flat itself is brand new with all the mod cons with one of the most comfortable beds ever! This area and the flat itself are steeped in history. Reading the provided booklet opened our eyes to where we were staying and made a short stay that more interesting. To top it off Lawrence took the time to say hi in the morning and offered for us to take our time. Our overall experience was that they went above and beyond on every aspect of the flat and their hospitality.
