History Museum Tours and Activities

I spent 4 nights here (1 of 5 hotels I stayed in on a trip to Argentina and Chile, and definitely the worst) Positives: the location was very convenient, with easy street parking, and nice views of the water. The bed was comfortable enough. Negatives: The rooms are tiny - very little space to move around the beds. There was no storage space for clothing really other than hangers out in the open. To go to the bathroom, you had to go up a step, which is not ideal if you wake up during the night. We had two beds (two friends traveling). There was only one pillow each, and it took us two days and several requests later to get two extra pillows. There's no A/C, so if it gets warm, you have to open the window, and there are no screens so you'll get bugs in the room. Breakfast was disappointing, especially compared to the other hotels we stayed in on the trip. The biggest problem is that the breakfast area was minimally staffed, so tables were made unavailable simply because nobody cleaned them, silverware was often not available because no one got around to cleaning them, and several of the available food items would be unfilled when they ran out. You felt bad for the staff (one to two people) asking them for anything because you could tell they were trying. This was a big problem 2 of our 4 mornings, and a slight problem on the 3rd . . . it depended upon morning traffic to a degree. On the plus side, excellent coffee, but the food was generally unimpressive.
