Approximately 1.5 hours drive from NYC. It's ideal for families, romantic getaways, girls weekends and pets are allowed (w/ prior approval). Everything is detailed exclusively for you including the finest all cotton percale sheets some from Italy. Secluded and airy, this home has breathtaking pastoral views. This country retreat neighbors a 100 acre organic Angus cow farm. We have large common areas and a spacious gourmet kitchen. Enjoy the heated salt water pool, nearby fairs, farm to table gourmet restaurants, apple and berry picking, wineries, Mohonk Mountain House, hiking, climbing, golfing and canoeing. The property has eight acres ... four acres of open flat mowed lawn and four acres of lush woods. This 4000 sq ft home flows with five bedrooms and three bathroom, living room, dining room eat in kitchen and a large finished basement with regulation ping pong table. The backyard contains grilling, fire pit, sitting area, salt water based pool which opens Memorial Day and closes the end of September. The house was built with a grand open feel in mind. There is a huge bedroom downstairs that has a king bed and a full size loft with a twin bed. The second bedroom is the master located upstairs with a king bed, handmade Shifman mattress and en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi, double shower and two sinks. Additionally it has a breakfast terrace that faces the back expanding views. There is an additional full bath upstairs along with three more bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed with a single loft. There is a bunk bed in one room and a queen in another upstairs bedroom. There is a separate den that has an L shaped sofa and a queen pullout sofa in the living room. No detail was left behind in this gracious home. The house feels larger than the photos suggest, with higher ceilings that create a very open and comfortable atmosphere. The kitchen is very well stocked, and the home was exceptionally clean, with quality soaps and shampoos provided. We especially enjoyed the fenced backyard and the view of cows on the neighboring farm, which added to the charm. We visited during a snowstorm, and the setting truly felt like a winter wonderland. The location is convenient, with a short drive to the grocery store and attractions in nearby towns. Leslie was very responsive to every attempt to communicate. My oldest daughter was getting married nearby, and we wanted a house near the wedding venue. This home was wonderful and exactly what we needed. The property descriptions are quite accurate, and everything was perfect. The host was communicative and thoughtful. (The local brews and farm fresh eggs in the fridge were a very nice welcome gesture.) The day after the wedding, we hosted the newly wedded couple for a small dinner and the gourmet kitchen was perfect for that! (For those who don’t cook, Ollie’s Pizza in High Falls is an easy five-minute drive. And Stone House Tavern on Route 209 is just about 10 minutes away, and we had a nice meals there.). This is a great property for a family or a pair of couples. The five bedrooms are nice, and two of the five have king beds with master suite vibes. Lovely rural setting with Black Angus cattle on the neighboring property. We saw deer, foxes, and red-tailed hawks during our stay. ##### Bob P. The bedrooms were extremely comfortable (and fun, two having cool loft areas to hang out/sleep), the kitchen well-appointed and massive, and the private living room area with TV was a favorite for family movies and puzzling. It’s beautiful and in a great location. Love the cows next door! The house has everything you could want. We are a family of 7 adults and 2 kids and the house was perfect for us. We spent a lot of time in the pool and bbqing with family. The kitchen is exceptional and a great hang out for all. The owners were always in touch and the house was spotless when we arrived. The linens and towels are quality and there were plenty of pool towels. We are looking forward to spending another great family vacation here! This house was a 10! ##### Amy K. The house is outfitted perfectly: the kitchen is a chef’s dream, and just a great hang-out space, the bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and the linens are crisp and clean. The organization of the space allowed our group of friends and family to be together or find moments of separation, some of our gang was watching a movie in the separate den room and we couldn’t hear a peep when we were in the living room chilling in front of the fire - which is hard to come by. There is also a really cool ping pong table in the basement for a little physical fun. We walked in the woods and went on a nearby hike one day. I kept sneaking out to look at the cows next door, an instant exhale and restorative break from the big city. This was the first time visiting High Falls, we needed a breather that was close to the city but felt far away. It was a bit of a last minute trip and Leslie was so responsive in meeting our needs. The check-in and out was smooth and intuitive. We really look forward to staying there again this summer when the pool is open, and to explore the surrounding towns and farmer’s markets! This is our third visit to this beautiful property. The home is beautifully maintained. Our grandkids officially call it the Christmas house since we gather from near and far to celebrate Christmas early. Leslie communicates quickly and has been great to work with. The home is perfect for families, with a great kitchen , lots of comfy room to spread out and couldn’t be cozier. We are already planning dates for next year, the ultimate compliment! There is hiking, fine dining, bike rides and this particular weekend a Pickle Festival on the Ulster County fairgrounds. The house is spacious with a large very well appointed kitchen and 5 bedrooms. The finished basement has a ping pong table. The house is simply but beautifully furnished and meticulously maintained.The property is private. This year my wife and I chose to be alone for the first week after which we had our children and grandchildren come up. Being alone in this great big, beautiful home was ideal for just relaxing, swimming in the pool while enjoying the plethora of restaurants in the area. And then having our children and grandchildren come up was a treat for all of us. The kitchen is ideal for group cooking with plenty of room at the table, indoors or outdoors, for eating together. It's a beautiful home, with all the modern amenities. The 5 bedrooms allowed for everyone to have comfortable sleeping arrangements. The master bedroom, with its large bathroom, a double shower and separate whirlpool met our needs entirely. And when my youngest grandchild awoke at the ungodly hour of 6 AM, there was plenty to keep him busy, puzzles, games and toys, allowing the rest of us to sleep. And when we were all awake, there was ping pong, the outdoor fireplace for heating up our "some mores", and the pool which is heated to the perfect temperature. Our renting this home has made my wife and I big stars among the children and grandchildren. I highly recommend this home. You will not be disappointed. ##### Daniel M. Our group of 4 adults and 2 children had plenty of space to spread out. The photos and description in listing are very accurate. Kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need to prepare large meals for your group and the dining table is huge! The bedrooms are all very spacious and all mattresses seemed very comfortable. House was very clean and well maintained. Check in/out was easy and Leslie was very accommodating by letting us check in 2 hours early. The area is beautiful with many great restaurants. We enjoyed visiting the nearby brewery and cidery and took many walks on various tails. We like to cook and make big elaborate meals when we rent houses from VRBO and this house has one of the best kitchens I've experienced. It's big so lots of people can be cooking together but it also has so many unique gadgets and tools (we often have to bring the more unique gadgets when we travel because most houses don't have them). There are many bedrooms and lots of little hang out, rest spaces so the group could get their alone time when they needed it and we could shut the kids away to have adult time. :) And it's set way back on a huge property with a cow farm bordering it so it was PEACEFUL. Especially after a stressful holiday period and a hard 2021, this was really welcome. ##### Meredith M. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The huge kitchen open to the living room with fireplace was the perfect spot to gather but there was plenty of private space for everyone as well. The house is as lovely as it seems in the pictures and the kitchen was the most functional of any of the many rentals I’ve stayed in. Located next to a farm, surrounded by woods, this home is a perfect escape from NYC. We come to the area surrounding New Paltz every fall to enjoy the changing of the season. This home is close to everything the Hudson Valley has to offer, trails, apple orchards, pumpkin picking, and the Shawangunk wine trail.
