As I pulled up to the Nittany Lion Inn at 7:30 pm, I was surprised to receive a call from the hotel. It was Lionne, the hotel restaurant, cancelling my 8pm dinner reservation. I explained that I was about to check in and walk up but they decided that they had too many large tables that evening and would not honor my reservation. She then said I was lucky that she caught me before I turned my car into the valet. Gee, thanks. I’ve never in my life seen a beautiful property provide such continually underwhelming service.
