We also very much enjoyed the fresh farm eggs! However, we did have an unexpected issue during our stay. A bat somehow made its way into the cottage at night, which was pretty unsettling and forced us to move downstairs to the other bedroom to feel safe. It was an unfortunate surprise that definitely disrupted what had otherwise been a peaceful and enjoyable evening.That said, the cottage itself is lovely and would be a wonderful getaway with just a bit more attention to keeping wildlife out. It is spotless and decorated and restored to perfection. It has the charm of the parsonage from the 1800’s with all the conveniences of a modern home. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. We only spent one night here but I would love to return for a longer stay. There are many added amenities such as comfy beds and high end linens and soaps. If you like the charm of older homes you will love it.
