Adventure awaits! Western NC and North GA abound with opportunities for recreation and relaxation. Set your sights on long-range views with visits to Bell Mountain in Hiawassee (20-minute drive) and Brasstown Bald (highest point in GA, 35-minute drive). Spend the day on Lake Chatuge with a boat or personal watercraft rental from a local marina or launch your own from nearby public access. Want to immerse yourself in nature in the Nantahala National Forest? Bring your mountain bikes and ride the first-class trails at Jackrabbit Mountain (also great for hiking and dog-friendly) less than 5 minutes from the property. Fires Creek Recreation Area (25-minute drive) is another Western NC local favorite for hiking with picturesque views, swimming, and trout fishing. On the GA side, take a 30-minute drive to a waterfall hike via the High Shoals Falls Trail or make the 45-minute drive to Alpine Helen, GA for a taste of Bavaria in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hungry and thirsty after a day of exploration? Visit the outstanding local restaurants, wineries, and breweries in and around downtown Hayesville and Hiawassee for not-to-be-missed tastes of local flavor.
We love the #lakelife around here as well as the majestic mountains. So much to do and see right in town. We have a handy Welcome Book in the house full of dining options , things to do, local shopping opportunities, hiking and
waterfalls and hiking trails. There are an abundance of wineries with live music events! Just a short 25 mile drive to the Bavarian based town of Helen for tubing or zip lining.
There are several excellent boat rental places in the area! We use Lake Chatuge Marine, Young Harris Water Sports, Boundary Waters... The fellas will help you out! All kinds of water toys too like jet skis, stand up paddle boards and kayaks.
Hike or drive to the apex of Bell Mountain, which overlooks Lake Chatuge below and provides picturesque mountain views. Shooting Creek Overlook is breathtaking. Visit Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia. Jackrabbit Mountain and Chatuge Dam. Both Towns County (Hiawassee GA) and Clay County (Hayesville NC) have super parks and beaches. Trailheads of the Appalachian Trail, which spans from Georgia to Maine, are less than 10 miles from this home.

A great weekend with friends. This house has amazing view, was very clean and well stocked. Communication and check in were great. Just a note that they have a Keurig coffee pot. We did fine using the 25 cup big pot as we drink a lot of coffee. We would definitely stay here again.

This cabin was in a fantastic location with an incredible view! There were eight golfing buddies (all ladies), and we traveled around the country to play golf a few times a year. We rented this place from Oct.24-26,2022 This beautiful cabin location has many activities nearby and a golf course nearby, so it was the perfect place for us. This cabin was huge, and it had lots of beds. I had never seen a rental house with many pots, pans, and utensils. It is a great place for gatherings with a large family or large group of friends. The host, ms.Priscilla, it was very easy to communicate with, and she went out of her way to accommodate us. Therefore, if there are more than five stars to give, I’ll surely give it.

#### Perfect Location and Million Dollar View!
Bunch of friends stayed for a weekend to celebrate 40th birthday for one of our friends. The house was perfect it was big enough to accommodate 8 people comfortably. We spent most of the time on the deck as the view was breathtaking. Lake Chatuge was less than 20 min from the property. Over all it was perfect stay! We will definitely rent this place again in the future!

This was our second time renting this property and we love it just as much as the first time we stayed. The view is beautiful, the house is extremely spacious and has everything we could ever need. We definitely hope to be back soon!

We had a really beautiful stay here - it was plenty big for our group of 10, the kitchen was well-appointed, and the view was absolutely incredible. The drive up the hill was a little daunting for some because it’s very steep, but I drive an SUV and was fine.
