#### Relax by the ocean, explore mazes of shop-lined alleys and watch fishermen bringing home their catches at this pleasant Kerala beach.

Nestled in the center of the bustling Kovalam coastal region is Hawah Beach. This lovely stretch of coastline, where Ayurvedic therapy centers thrive, is also a popular swimming and sunbathing location flanked by shopping alleys.

Although central to Kovalam, Hawah Beach is the least congested of the area's three main beaches. As you approach the shore down a series of steep roads, admire views of the calm blue water bay, dotted with fishermen setting out to sea or bringing home their fresh catches.

Spend the morning on your towel or a rented sun lounge by the water, soaking up the hot, southern Indian sun. Then go for a paddle or a swim in the temperate waters. Here, as in many beaches in India, women are advised not to wear revealing swimsuits as a sign of respect for local customs and to avoid unwanted male attention.

Explore the shopping district behind Hawah Beach’s promenade and find a range of clothing, textile and book stalls. Within this maze-like complex, haggle for such souvenirs as colorful bags and handmade guitars. As you are walking, you may see the odd goat grazing weeds along the edges of paths.

This area is well known for its Ayurvedic treatment houses, offering oil drips and soothing massages. There are many reputable centers, which have been certified by the government of Kerala. Delight in one of their holistic treatments.

After a rejuvenating experience, enjoy some of the exquisite cuisine offered along the beachfront promenade. German bakeries, vegetarian curry houses and seafood specialists are just some of the dining options. The freshest fish is served at sunset, when the fishermen bring in their catches on long wooden boats.

Hawah Beach is approximately 12 miles (19 kilometers) south of Thiruvananthapuram's city center. Although the area is served by a bus route, a rickshaw is an inexpensive and more comfortable alternative and takes around 40 minutes.

Every thing was perfect, Presidential Suit was excellent stayed there for 14 days, later has to Transfer in the Deluxe room, very spacious, but few things need to be looked upon we stayed in room no 603 Bathroom do not have sliding door or curtains, due to which all the bathing water splash through toilet area, which makes the thing messy, also light above the bed have a holding bracket is pointing out which could heart some one, need to be modified, rest everything was excellent, totally we stayed for 24 days was superb
