The location is the star with this cottage. Porthgain is an absolute gem of a place, and we enjoyed eating in both The Sloop pub next door, and The Shed, which had amazing fish and chips. There's also a lovely ice cream shop in the village. The cottage could have benefitted from more bedroom storage, as the 2nd bedroom had a very small wardrobe. The kitchen could do with an upgrade - there was no freezer, and we tried to make a meal, but the the kitchen hob didn't have enough power to boil the water for spaghetti. That was disappointing, but at least we could pop next door for a decent meal! There are also some restaurants in St. Davids, which is a lovely little place just 10 mins drive away. This was the nearest place with a small supermarket. Overall, we enjoyed staying in the cottage and can't fault its location.
