We loved our short break near Hastings
Cottage lovely and clean with all we needed
Hosts very welcoming and helpful
Ideal location for exploring with beautiful countryside and coastal walks
Great Property, perfect for a chilled weekend away. Loved the Animals too. Good pub a short walk away and 5/10 mins drive to Hastings. Highly recommend
Lovely cottage on beautiful farm in idyllic countryside. Very welcoming host, very comfortable and well equipped accommodation; incredibly quiet at night; walking trails galore, seaside close by, nearby ‘farm store’ for provisioning. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely 2 night stay here. Needed to get away for a few days to relax. This was perfect for that. Loved the rural loaction and also hearing the horses walking by. Small issue with the wifi code not beng what was provided in the confirmation email (check the number in the book) Two Sawyers pub is a lovely place for dinner. Pork chop was divine!
We had a wonderful vacation "for two".
The cottage is extraordinary well-kept, cultivated and absolutely clean. The house decor and furniture is composed with loving care and a secure attention to the detail. It is perfectly sized for two persons.
If you love animals, you feel at home here - as well, as if you love quiet and relaxing days or holidays, in which to explore East Sussex.
Joanna and Marc are wonderful hosts, having many of tips, what to do, to visit, to explore or to experience in the area of Pett or Hastings. We were warm welcomed, and felt the whole holidays very welcome.
Pett is a nice village, and you easily reach it by foot, to visit for instance one of the two very good pubs (with excellent kitchen!) or the beautiful café.
The coast, the settlement Fairlight Cove and the beach are easily to reach by car, as well as the wonderful towns of Rye and Hastings.
We had two weeks in the Cottage and look with gratitude back onto our dream summer vacations.
Danke and with warmest greetings,
Meike und Jörg
The cottage was lovely, in an idyllic place. There were some issues with repairs and a dog barking for a lot of one of the nights but Jo was lovely and proffesional. The local pub did good food and it was very convinent for seeing hastings.
What a beautiful little hide away.
Loved the horses and the sheep next door.

Our Best Stay Ever
We stayed for five weeks at this charming cottage. Jojo and Marc catered to our every need, going so far beyond what we have ever encountered before in our many years of travel that we would give them ten stars if possible. The cottage itself and surrounding village of Pett are pristine and beautiful. We loved staying on the farm and getting to know the animals. Even without a car, we were able to walk and take buses to the many surrounding attractions. This 'hidden gem' is one stay we will never forget!
Had a great couple of days staying at this lovely hideaway with great surroundings slap bang in the middle of a Horse Stable. Loved every minute of our stay. Our host was there to greet us and very friendly and informative without being in your space.
Very well equipped and comfortable place.
Faultless and would definitely recommend and we will return again. Thank you
It was just beautiful! Felt really cosy and homely, made us want to move in there!
Only thing I'd improve is the Wi-Fi connection if guests want to watch Netflix or digital services, otherwise it's perfection.
Excellent service and really would stay again, highly recommended.
Sweet, clean, totally modernised cottage, with old open beams in all the rooms. Dishwasher, combi boiler, washing machine, all the mod coms. WiFi available but difficult to connect to and very slow; we never were able to connect to our laptops, although I could connect to my iPhone. The cottage is located within a barn complex, and has a huge front "patio" and a private back patio, with table and chairs. Several horses in the barn next door, frequently tended to by their owners.
We spent two days at this charming little cottage. It was a short drive to the beaches and to Hastings . The cottage was a perfect size for two people , it was well equipped and It has been beautifully decorated. The outside courtyard was a bonus and provided a great place to sit and read a book with a glass in hand. Being next to the stable, meant you could walk out of the front door and straight over to see the horses.
Joanna and Mark were fabulous hosts and I would highly recommend a visit !
We used this beautiful barn convention as a base for a short break in one of our favourite areas. Staying on a working farm was lovely, made friends with the horses and the chickens made for a relaxing time between visiting the local trips out. Would highly recommend a stay
We had a lovely stay in this cottage on Lower Barn Farm in Pett. Everything went very smoothly and the cottage was faultless - clean, comfortable, charming. The owners are lovely and the area is outstandingly beautiful. Definitely worth a visit.
Thanks so much Mark & Jojo for your wonderful cottage in such a brilliant location! It's even better than the pictures. Wished we could have stayed longer & hope to be back soon. Highly recommend!
Despite some of the worse winds and rain this summer has supplied, the property provided a great base for exploring the area and was warm and inviting. Nothing seemed to have been left out by the owner in meeting our needs for a short holiday.
This charming cottage is fully equipped to make the stay a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Situated on a farm that is a working stables, the peace and quiet of the location and surroundings, with easy access to places of interest in Sussex and surrounding counties, make it an ideal "get away" for townies. The owners, Jojo and Mark, are most helpful and provide a selection of home produced goodies on arrival. We would not hesitate to return to this cottage if we wanted to return to this part of the country again.
Wir haben dieses cottage für 7 Tage gebucht und es war wundervoll ! Wären gerne länger geblieben da es so gemütlich und ruhig war. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und haben uns herzlich empfangen.
