The main floor includes a kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom with full-sized bed, and a newly renovated full bath. Upstairs is a private king-sized bedroom with full bathroom, as well as a queen-sized bed in the loft. Downstairs offers a large bar, TV/sitting room, large card/game table, a fold down double murphy bed and a pullout single bed. At Bear Pause Retreat, you can have some fun creating your own culinary masterpieces with the extra-large, brand new propane/charcoal grill (propane provided) – or gourmet kitchen . At night, there is both an outdoor firepit or indoor gas fireplace to enjoy. The Hideout offers the following amenities for rental guests: Gym, pool (in season), indoor and outdoor tennis courts, basketball courts, golf course, putt-putt course, private ski hill. You'll also be a short drive from Historic Hawley and Honesdale. There you can enjoy the day on the water via public boat launches or boat rentals or eat at one of many restaurants in town. We aim to provide an impeccably functioning home that is superbly clean with everything you should need to unwind and relax. We will send a guest book (post booking) with everything we provide, including pictures of everything included in the kitchen. Below are more specifics on the house, Hideout Community, and booking information: ALL INCLUSIVE - LINENS We provide hotel-quality towels, sheets, pillows and basic necessities at no additional charge. We aim to keep a lightly stocked kitchen with, coffee, salt/pepper, and a handful of different seasonings. Some amenities will require additional fees The house comes with amenity badges for use during your stay Please note: you will NEED to fill out a rental form and provide ID before gaining entry to the gate. All forms and docs should be filled out at least 5 business days in advance of the rental and within 36 hours of your booking or the community will assess a $100 fee. Up to 7 amenity badges are provided during your stay. Absolutely no more than 7 people and 3 cars are allowed on the lot. No other guests can visit the Lot while you are there. All names and ages must be registered on the application when submitted. HOUSE RULES Please note there are neighbors around the house and sound travels far. We are trying to create a serene getaway for our guests as well as be respectful to our neighbors. So we ask that outside noise be kept to reasonable levels. To ensure this environment we have outdoor noise monitors. Well behaved dogs under 30lbs allowed on a case-by-case basis for an additional $75 per pet fee. Please note we have a minimum age requirement of 25 years old. We require the majority of guests to be above 25 years old, with the exception of families with children. Please note guests must fill out a rental agreement and rental form with the association 5 days prior to arrival. A link will be provided post booking. Parking limited to 3 cars, NO RVs. We aim to set the standard for short-term rental experiences. We will proactively notify you when early check-in and/or late check-out are possible. Grocery Shopping - You can now use the Rosie app to order grocery delivery from the local Lake Region IGA in Hawley, PA Guest Access: Guests let themselves in via a Smart Lock and have no owner interaction (but we are always available via a text or call!) Other Things to Note: We love to keep our property in pristine condition. In order to do so, we ask you pick between two property protection options for your stay. Bear Pause Retreat had everything our family needed including plenty of fresh towels and clean linens. The Hideout Community has a lot to offer if you love the outdoors as much as we do. Great walking path around the lake, almost 4 miles. The cabin inside is very nice, felt like kitchen and bathrooms were like new, good Wi-Fi, loved the gas fireplace, already had YouTube TV logged in. The property itself was stunning- the cabin was spacious and had all the supplies you need from kitchen stuff, to extra blankets and pillows, to board games, to a cabinet full of contact information. Communication was always very clear and prompt. Lots to do in the area and on the complex itself! The clubhouse also has really good food and is very kid friendly! Great communication - we were the first people staying after the summer and when we needed heat, we got it fixed fast. Loved the porch, the swing, the outdoor furnishings. Everything was clean and comfortable- linens and towels were included which made packing easier. The Hideout amenities were great for our boys. We swam at the lake beach, played tennis and mini-golf. Even lucked out and caught the fireworks on the lake on the day we arrived. We cooked in the kitchen and went to a couple of the local restaurants. Also visited the nearby zoo and family fun park. My husband and I decided to rent the cabin for a few days to celebrate our anniversary. The pictures do not do it justice! It is so cozy and comfortable! I loved the way it was decorated as well. Just what I was imagining when I was looking for a cozy cabin retreat. There are some really good restaurants nearby as well. We got lucky and it happened to snow one night, with big, thick snowflakes and everything seemed so picturesque. Charles is a great house manager. Super helpful and communicative. The setting is very nice, and the location is fairly close to a lot of things to see and do. CJ is very nice to work with, he communicates frequently and timely and checks in to see how things are going. The only slight hiccup we had was CJ offered us the day before our stay at a discount since it was open and we gladly took it and went up after work. When we got there the person at check in didn't have the update which was an issue on their end, and it took a bit to sort out. Other than that, everything was great.
