From the moment we arrived, the reception staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Their service was consistently polite, professional, and attentive, setting the tone for an exceptional stay. They went out of their way to provide excellent food recommendations, all of which turned out to be fantastic and added so much to our experience. What truly stood out was how comfortable and cared for they made us feel—so much so that we decided to extend our stay. A big thank you to the reception team for their outstanding hospitality and for making this hotel feel like a home away from home. We can’t wait to return.
Beautiful property and one of the best rooms that we have stayed in during our visit to Vietnam. Great views of Ha Long Bay and close to the port and hop on hop off bus stop. Staff were very helpful.
Came to the Sol Ha Long after a bad experience at the Novotel. The staff and hotel were amazing and exceptional. The room and service were outstanding, the pool was a blast for the kids and the breakfast was great. Would highly recommend this property to others and would definitely stay there again!
Hotel was great, room with a very good view on 21st floor. However, the good view had a problem - it was facing the beach side where every evening there was a very loud music from around 8pm until 30 minutes past midnight. This noise is not very loud on the ground floor and on the street, but high up on 21st floor, the loud beats of the music fills the air and we had difficulty sleeping and be in peace.
On the second evening, we informed this to hotel and they were kind enough to promptly move us to the lower level room that did not face the beach but to a side (looking at another building). There was noise there too but much lower than before, so it was good.
We are thankful for the hotel's quick action to move us.
Other than this, the hotel has a nice big lobby, everything is kept clean and tidy, staff were all very supportive and kind.
We did not have the information on the noise level in that room before - some people might be OK with such a noise considering great view.
I loved every minute of my stay, service was superb, my only complain was. that the pool was closed (early october), which I was looking forward to use it. Very nice place to stay for a few days

Had a rough start at the hotel. Reception coudnt find my booking through expedia that i made since november 2023. Not sure if it was expedia or the hotels fault but after 20min they finally found my booking. The staff were polite and helpful throughout my stay. They were the best thing about Soleil after the buffet breakfast which was excellent. Tasty and plenty of choices, from asian to western cuisine and plenty of fruit. I suggest you eat as much as you can at breakfast because the area have almost no good restaurant nearby. The restaurants across the streets are basically tourist traps. They serve the worse and smallest pho i have ever tasted anywhere. The fried rice have hair in it and the most tasteless spring roll in all of Vietnam. Thats why you dont see locals eating there. It feels like a ghost town in the area sorrounding Soleil. Better to stay on the other side of the city if you want good food. The gym area is huge but only have dumbells that go up to 25kg and cable machines that are barely functional. The seat at the bench press machine isnt even bolted on and they move stiffly due to no one maintaining them at all. My panoramic room was clean and functional. Great view of the street facing the roudabout and the ocean but no soundproofing at all. Im on the 21st floor and i could hear a nightclub 2 km away until the middle of the night then its chicken crowing in the early morning from the neighboring area.
Beautiful new property by Wyndam Group. Just cross the road to access fabulous Halong seafood eateries, Sun World theme park and cable car and the Halong International Cruise Centre.
This hotel was fantastic! The location was excellent to get to restaurants and visit the amusement park. It's a newly opened hotel - the decor was beautiful and the facilities is brand new and everything is kept very clean. The pool/spa facilities was excellently designed. The buffet breakfast was a nice spread and everything was tasty. I will definitely stay again when next in the area!
Wow! Amazing, beautiful room. I am so shocked at the price $100 AU dollars a night for beautiful big spacious suite including breakfast in lovely comfortable hotel.
We stayed here the night before our Halong Bay cruise. Beautiful hotel but no amenities. Pool was closed, restaurants were closed. Ha Long, the city, was “dead”. Cheap restaurants with poor quality food.
The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff are helpful but not as gracious as some properties in Vietnam. Dining options are quite limited for vegetarians which is also unusual for Vietnam that has many Buddhist vegetarians and vegans. Overall, a very nice property.
The property is a bit tired compared to their pictures. Additionally the cleaner left my door wide open all day (twice) and the swimming pool is closed.

Fine for a night before a cruise or moving on elsewhere but for a new property some areas already a bit tired - such as the bathroom. Staff at reception were helpful but spa/massage staff were not as attentive, started the wrong treatment and asked for tips and then asked for more when we did tip.
The shower was hideous. It had black mould and my daughter refused to shower in it. I did, wesring my flip flops

Extremely lovely rooms. The rooms were sensational. Not the cleanest in all honesty. At night despite the fact we were on the 21st floor and it was like sleeping in the middle of a zebra crossing, the noise was terrible. Maybe some soundproofing measures to the windows? Staff spoke very little English and it was extremely difficult to communicate basic needs.
