Spread over two beautifully decorated floors, the home combines comfort, style, and functionality in every detail. The spacious living room features a plush sofa and a TV, ideal for relaxing with your favourite shows after a day of exploring. Adjacent to it, the elegant dining area includes a large table that comfortably seats up to eight guests, perfect for shared meals and special moments. The fully equipped kitchen provides everything you need to prepare delicious home-cooked meals, including a stove, oven, and all essential cookware and cutlery. For added convenience, you’ll also find a washing machine and ironing equipment to take care of your laundry during your stay. Step outside to discover the highlight of the property — a private terrace with a refreshing pool, sun loungers, and a cozy seating area. Whether you’re soaking up the sun or enjoying a quiet evening outdoors, this space offers the ideal setting to unwind. The sleeping arrangements are designed with comfort in mind: three bedrooms are furnished with double beds, while the fourth features two single beds. All rooms come with hotel-quality linens and ample storage space. The house also includes four bathrooms, each equipped with fresh towels and complimentary toiletries for your convenience. The Castle of Guimarães began with a monastery built by Mumadona Dias in the 10th century, before, therefore, the formation of Portugal. As the attacks of the Moors were frequent they decided to build a wall to protect the community and the monks that lived inside. It was this fort that gave origin to the Castle of Guimarães. Later, in the twelfth century, it was in this castle that Dom Afonso Henriques was born. Some years after he would become the first king of Portugal. With the lack of use the castle was degrading. Recently it was recovered and classified as National Monument. It is also considered World Heritage by UNESCO. A place full of history and that was cradle of Portugal.
