The hotel was lovely, staff were very friendly and it was a lovely stay. Only negative comment was the sound proofing in the rooms wasn’t great. You could hear the traffic and door banging.

Unbeatable location with incredible views. A quick taxi ride to West Street but lovely and tranquil away from the hubbub. A beautiful and interesting and very well designed property. The staff were all warm and friendly and welcoming. Excellent high quality breakfast in a beautiful setting. I definitely recommend this hotel as the place to stay in Yangshuo, especially if you prefer to share a space with like-minded independent travelers.

Amazing views and designed. Clean, friendly staff that works hard. My only complaints are the shower isn't well designed it has a lot of standing water all the time as it doesn't drain, and there's no real service at the pool area, you have to hunt someone down. The buffet for breakfast was fine, nothing special but pretty in how they set it up. I didn't try the expensive restaurant as they wanted to charge $300 a person for the tasting menu. Insane pricing really - we ate for $20-30 a night amazing meals in town - so I do recommend just taking a Didi to town and eating there, really wonderful restaurants and pairs well by escaping that chaos in Yangshuo for the peaceful hotel settings. Cleaning crew and driver special shout out for being great. Spa was very nicely done, but again, just wildly overpriced

Top Hotel in Yangshuo

This was one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed at in the world. The facilities were incredible. The pool was gorgeous. The food was phenomenal and cocktails were great. The resort was very helpful and offered a ton of activities. This is a must stay if visiting Yangshuo!!!

Really beautiful hotel, set away from the main town (but cheap and easy to get a taxi). Stunning view from the pool area and at night with the lighting it really is a special place. I was expecting a little more with the food, it was decent but not amazing! I took the boat from the dock at the foot of the property which was worth doing and less crowded than the other areas.

From the moment arriving at Yangshuo Sugar House we were instantly charmed. The architecture is stunning, the staff are incredibly warm and attentive, and every building is photogenic. You never get tired of the views, food was perhaps the best we've had in all of China, and the spa is exceptional. Loved the activities too, like rock climbing and bamboo raft on the Li River. Tip: Honestly, do activities around Yangshuo and Guilin before arriving because once you’re at Sugar House you won’t want to leave!

very special hotel.a renovation of an abandoned old sugar plant,beautifully designed by a young avant-garde chinese architect.great location,just by the lijiang riverside.the view is breath-taking.very relaxing stay.just don't want to leave.hope come back soon.

This is a stunning hotel. The design effort to transform and old sugar mill, balancing old and new, to this hotel is great. It’s a great place to break up a hectic China trip and just chill. The staff service was also great and overall value good. The only issue is some noise from the road. This can’t really be helped as it’s on a corner where lorries beep there horns.
