Walkable into town and back, and good exercise! Our room with kitchen was a good size and well equipped. The only challenge was the bathtub/shower which you could not really stand in. But otherwise it was a good place to stay. We brought our dog and she was comfy. Modern well provisioned rooms. We didn’t eat breakfast or use the TV lounge but both available along with communal kitchen for pm meals you can cater for yourself. Really enjoyed our stay albeit wished I’d clearly understood the bathroom was across the corridor (for our use only) and what comes with a standard room. Would have upgraded if I’d recognised this at booking. This hotel was perfect, exceptional views. It was very friendly, the rooms were super spacious and clean. They had a balcony with gorgeous views. There is a very steep hill to get to the hotel, that’s the only downside. The view was fantastic, but the shared space was dark, impersonal, and had no view. For the prices they charged, the service and accomodation are quite mediocre. For starters, when arriving the person doesn't really explain what to do if you want to go skiing, the shower didn't work correctly (I had to fix it), soap dispenser broken, portable lamp for the balcony discharged and nor charged around, requested two pillows, they never arrived, balcony light is impossible to turn off and is disruptive for sleeping are some of the small details we experienced. Another detail that bothered me is the parking, they charge 15 CHF/night to let you park in their backyard essentially. The space is not maintained at all and is quite slippery and even dangerous. For context, parking for a day in the underground Terminal in Grindelwald is exactly the same price.
