  • Here at Windy Ridge Cottages on the outskirts of the Village of Tetney next to the Lincolnshire Worlds we offer two very comfortable self catering holiday cottages, a one bedroom cottage called "The Swallows Nest" and for details of the "Chicken Coop" please see our other advert also with Home Away for our terms and conditions and directions, please see our website www.windyridgecottages.co.uk both Cottages have been created by the sympathetic conversion of a traditional old farm building, the cottages are set in 5 acres of grounds, including our own private fishing lakes. Guests are welcome to stroll around the lakes, relax and enjoy their stay. Designed to offer a relaxing break away from the daily grind and are perfect for those seeking to explore the delights of the many attractions of the surrounding local area.
    Windy Ridge cottages is an adults only (strictly no kids) and offers a pleasant setting for a peaceful break. Well behaved dogs are welcome, we do charge £25 pet cleaning fee, if you wish to bring a 2nd dog this will need to be approved prior to booking and will incur an additional £10 charge.

Had a very enjoyable stay - Accomodation (Log Cabin) was in excellant condition, very modern, clean and comfortable, great location., grounds were kept immaculate with safety gates....Hosts, Luke and Barbara were very friendly and helpful, Hubby enjoyed the fishing, lots to do and see roundabout........would definitely stay there again........

Absolutely beautiful

Perfect is the only word to describe our stay accommodation is exactly as stated but better loved all the wildlife and lakes and as an animal lover totally enjoyed feeding the chickens and Guinea fowl loved to see them all running over to get their food. If you want peaceful settings you can’t do better would totally visit again came home happy.

Great place to relax

Very nice place to relax, the place was very clean. Nice walk around the grounds and the fishing lakes, I was lucky to have the lakes to myself for a good day’s fishing, The owners are very friendly and nothing is to much trouble. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

The lodge was excellent, very spacious and comfortable. Barbara and Luke were excellent hosts. Fished the small lake as Luke said it was rarely fished. Caught bream up to 6lb on luncheon meat. Enjoyed some nice walks in the area.

What can I say

The lodge was amazing, everything you could possibly need and more. Great quality furniture and fittings. Extremely clean and a sumptuous king bed. Very comfortable lodge. The walks around the reserve were great, loved the chickens, very cheeky! Will definitely be going back it’s a great relaxing hideaway. Thank you Barbara and Luke.

Excellent break.

This is a lovely property. Nice and clean, well equipped and in beautiful grounds with lakes and wildlife. We enjoyed feeding the geese - and were allowed to see some baby chicks that had just hatched. Barbara was on hand to help with anything we needed, and had provided a leaflet with local things to do and takeaways that delivered to site. Excellent stay, we will no doubt be booking again.

Peaceful relaxing break

The property was exactly as described. Very clean, everything you needed for a self catering break. Lovely hosts. Settee and bed very comfortable. Superb shower. Goods pubs - dog friendly at Tetney Locks and Hoyton Le Clay. Would recommend if you want to just relax, walk, read and slumber.

Magical

Imagaine been in a dessert then coming across a magical oasis! Imaculate property, top class spec but the hosts: warm, empathetic, kind not in your face or constant just there for you. My dog Cooper and I definitly rate this as our favourite holiday stay ( and we go to three a year) we are going back. Honestly I cant say how much we enjoyed our peaceful tranquil refreshing stay at this locational. I 100% do and have! recommended this to all my friends. Thank you.

Perfect Getaway

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights and throughly enjoyed it. Barbara and Luke are so friendly and accommodating, they couldn’t do more for us. The accommodation was spotless and unlike other places we have stayed, no expense has been spared on the furnishings- it was very comfortable and all the essentials were provided. My husband fished everyday and the lake is beautiful and well cared for. I was even allowed to have a go in the boat which was a bonus! The location is perfect- close to amenities but equally peaceful and out of the way. Thanks to Barbara and Luke for their excellent hospitality. We’re sure to be back. Charlie and Joe
