There is a doorbell camera facing the front exterior of the home and 1 camera facing a portion of the backyard (not the patio sitting area), side gate and driveway. LIVING ROOM \-- Cozy living room is set-up for gathering at the end of your day out or even for some relaxing after a long day with a movie on the sofa bed or chaise. There's a 49inch SMART TV with a variety of apps like NETFLIX, HULU, DISNEY+. It's also the perfect place to play some of the GAMES we have available for you at the house. DINING ROOM \-- Comfortably seats 6 without the extension that is available in the closest. We have 2 benches as well as formal seating for a nice family or friends meal. KITCHEN \-- We've try to think of as many amenities to accommodate our traveling chefs. ;) To name a few, we offer a standard coffee maker, baking pans, toaster and a variety of utensils for you to make your favorite meals. Smoothie lovers have a blender and a book with smoothie recipes! BEDROOM #1 \-- QUEEN BED -- This room is at the front of the house, adjacent to the bathroom. Is quite spacious, with a dresser and a walk-in closet. There's a SMART TV in this room. If you don't want to completely unpack, there's a luggage rack available! BEDROOM #2 \-- QUEEN BED -- This room is at the front of the house across the hall from bedroom 1, also next to bathroom . This room overlooks the back patio. It has a dresser, a walk-in closet as well as a SMART TV. BEDROOM #3 \-- QUEEN BED -- This room also overlooks the back patio. It has closet as well as well as a luggage rack. We call this room the crash pad. It's in the back of the house for the most privacy for someone seeking the rest away from the rest of those in the house. BACK PATIO \-- After a long day, you can walk to the back of the house OR when you park in the driveway that's at the back of the house, access our beautiful patio. I wish we had found this earlier as it is so close to campus and is a lovely little house. It is beautifully decorated, clean, and very comfortable. My only complaint is the fees tacked onto the nightly rental amount but I think that is and VRBO issue and not a property owner issue. Fees doubled the cost of the rental. We had a better experience here than the hotel we visited in the area a few months ago. The home was clean and cozy! The neighborhood was quiet, we only heard crickets chirping at night. Only the front of the home had access to central AC leaving the kitchen/dining rm and back bedroom excessively hot in the summer. The front rooms only lowered to 71 degrees. The vent in the dining room had black mold, bugs alive and dead were in the living room and smoke emanated out of the burners of the kitchen stove when we tried to cook. Due to the amount of issues (these are only the most concerning) we contacted VRBO who tried multiple times that evening to contact the owner to no avail. Thus we left the property and had to find alternative placement for the remainder of our visit to the area. For this quick visit, I brought my 20 year old son & my elderly mother. It worked out beautifully & was, again, perfectly located to HPU. Everything was exactly as the host stated. It’s such a sweet cottage with all that is needed for a comfortable stay. We got such a kick out of the corkboard map to pin visitor locations the last time, we added a paper cutout of Germany showing where my son lives to prove that even international travelers visit High Point! Mar 1, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Perfect location to HPU It’s a lovely bungalow situated on a corner lot in an older neighborhood conveniently located near HPU which is perfect for small families visiting their students. We were not able to use the outdoor area as it was too cold but, would be nice to enjoy as it gets warmer. The two main bedrooms are lovely (we had no need for the other bedroom & it was a bit cooler in temp from the main area) as is the living space which is decorated well (the coffee table seemed too large for the space so I slid it to the side). The pushpin map for guests to pin their homes is such a nice touch! The small kitchen was adequate (needs a few nice wine glasses) and I didn’t mind hand washing the few dishes we used. It was a good neighborhood in which to walk the dog & I felt safe. My only mistake was checking in late in the evening; thankfully there was an automatic outdoor light so I could see to unload my car. It was cold that first night & did take a while for the heat to catch up (I had to get an additional blanket from the closet) but, was fine the next day. Of course, as in any older home, the bathroom was small but, adequate & I did like the shampoo container attached to the wall. I didn’t use the washer or dryer but, it was nice to have it if I had stayed longer. The dining area was cute & functional. It was a great location & a sweet place to stay! Great space, very convenient to HPU, Greensboro and Downtown. Host is very friendly and super responsive. Quite a few personal touches that really made our stay amazing.
