The house is beautiful, the dock is fantastic, and our group loved the kayaks and floating lounger. There was plenty of silverware, plates, and kitchen supplies for our group of 14.Unfortunately, several issues impacted our stay. Upon arrival, we couldn’t access the property because a required user agreement was sent while we were on our 4-hour drive. After signing it in the driveway, we still had to call customer service and wait for the door code to work. The hot tub had such a strong chlorine level that we couldn’t comfortably use it for the first two days. Water pressure in the master bathroom was very weak, and the water heater was set so low that showers were uncomfortably cold.During a rainstorm, the basement flooded. With no mop available, we used nearly every towel in the house to clean up the water and then spent hours doing laundry the next day. The AC also struggled after a sunny day, leaving the house at 77 degrees throughout the evening and night. We notified the hosts but no solution was offered. The deck grill appears to be malfunctioning, as a burner remained hot when turned off, resulting in my husband burning his fingers. We also discovered mice had gotten into food we had delivered on the first day.The property has great features, but for the price, we expected better maintenance, communication, and responsiveness.
