It took them over 2 months to finally get me the refund ##### Voyageur vérifié Séjour de 1 nuit en juin 2018 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### りんか, 愛知県名古屋市 5 août 2018 Points forts : Propreté, service et personnel, état et installations de l’hébergement et confort de la chambre. 古い住宅の２階部分を改装したゲストハウス。旧市街の城壁に面して建っているので、城壁越しにインド洋がよく見えました。屋上は宿泊客に開放されていて、チェアが並べてあってさらに眺望良好でした。旧市街内の宿は値段が高めですが、ここも場所代込みのお値段なのでやや高いです。それでも部屋は清潔で快適だし、スタッフも親切。旧市街のどこにも歩いて便利に行けるので、１泊だけの滞在としては値段も納得しました。朝ご飯は隣接する食堂で出されます。8時からと言われましたが、行ってみたら準備が整ってなくて３０分待たされました。チェックアウトの朝に午後の列車で発つことをスタッフに話したら、若いお兄さんが切符を駅まで買いに走ってくれました。おおむね気持ちよく過ごすことができた宿でした。 ##### りんか Séjour de 1 nuit en juillet 2018 ### 6/10 – Acceptable #### Lisa 7 mai 2018 Points faibles : Service et personnel, état et installations de l’hébergement #### Location is great, but that’s all for the price. The best part about staying at this small in is it’s location, central and right on the fortress, however, dont expect a view from your window, just your front door. The room was tidy with very good air conditioning, however, the shower wasn’t exactly warm and a bit confusing to use. Boutique guesthouse with rooftop terrace overlooking the sea, perfect for watching the sunset over Galle Fort. The rooms are basic but clean with everything you need and the service was excellent. The staff could not do enough for us, and I highly recommend asking for a Sri Lankan breakfast (beware, it’s spicy!). The hotel location right on the rampart of the fort is perfect, and the sound of the waves at night is all you will hear as it’s very quiet. Galle itself is a beautiful little town with lots of great eateries and shops. You can while away your days here, or head down the coast to some of the fantastic beaches that are only half an hour away. It is only 4 rooms and looks over the Ramparts and I imagine the owners think they will charge what they think silly people will pay. The photos on the website are better than reality. We paid AUS $272 for 2 nights or around 16,300 rupiah per night. Having stayed in a number of guesthouses and hotels in Sri Lanka I would expect far better quality for the price. The bedroom was servicable with A/C and fan, reasonably bed, 2 side tables & lights and a tiny bathroom with a shower which had bad water pressure. There was a dirty sink in an alcove to the side of the bedroom. Upon arrival there was a young man who showed us to the room but did not provide any information. The sitting area is on the balcony and we found much later there is a fridge on the balcony which has cold bottles of water. Quite late on the first night we met a Japanese woman who introduced herself and explained about the water and also that we could get tea from the cafe next door, where you would also get breakfast (but not until 8:30am). The Sri Lankan breakfast was good. The continental one I'd skip. After the first night I had to ask for our room to be cleaned (which was done well). They would store luggage on the balcony although it was unclear if someone was there for the whole time. While the view was good for what you paid it was not worth it.There are many other residences in Galle old city and I'd suggest looking elsewhere. ##### Susan Séjour de 2 nuits en février 2018 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Ted, Boynton Beach, FL 25 janv. 2018 Points forts : Propreté, service et personnel et confort de la chambre. #### Convenient Locations within Galle Fort Rampart View Guest House is conveniently located at the southern end, near Flag Rock, of historical Galle Fort in Galle, Sri Lanka. Although the rooms are basic and a bit rustic, they are well maintained, clean, and comfortable, Hotel rates in Galle are comparatively high for Sri Lanka, and Rampart View Guises House is an economical alternative. The fort area is compact, so the hotel's location provides a good base for walking tours throughout the area. Many nice restaurants are nearby. It is in the tourist area. All shops and restaurants are for tourists. We could see see sunset next to the galle fort in the hotel. There was an elephant ice cream sellers nearby all the time. The breakfast is clean and rich. They provide options for traditional Sri Lanka breakfast and English breakfast. The furniture in the room is vintage (You can even tell from the smell). We didn't open the curtain at all because they are next to the corridors. Everyone can see our room is open the curtain. Staff are nice but no place for car parking.
