Coming back home to South Florida from a two week road trip this Hampton Inn in Gainsville was just what I needed after a long day of driving. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was just right.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was better than most other places we’ve stayed. Carpet in room was worn and I caught my heel in a shredded place near the threshold to the bathroom. Couch was worn out and slopped to the middle. Very uncomfortable for a disabled veteran. Caused a backache, for both of us.A little foot stool would have helped with his legs. Bed was very comfortable. We would stay here again, but we would love comfortable furniture as it was a suite. Even a reclining chair would be a better situation for a disabled veteran. We were there to be close to the VA hospital in Gainesville. We live an hour and a half away from this Hampton Inn. We’re in Gainesville 3-4 times a year for his needs at the VA hospital. Better than other hotels nearby by far. Just needs some good furniture and sprucing up a bit. Very close to Rt 75 and easy access to facility. We would recommend staying here over many others close by.

Staff is respectful and helpful!! They do attend to needs! There was no do not disturb sign when I checked in so I had someone clean the room and didn’t need it. Not a big deal, and the phone didn’t work I will update if they did fix that issue.
