"Dated home and access to basement was a pain. But overall we had a great trip and enjoyed our time there. The host was very responsive. The view is absolutely the best part of this rental. I would certainly consider coming back for another stay."

"Loved staying here. Unfortunately the dang fires popped off while we were staying, but it was still wonderful. The kids Loved the environment. We were so busy with our family reunion that was close by that we didn't spend allot of time on the property but the time we did spend there was wonderful."

"Such a relaxing stay! We spent much of our time outside enjoying the lake and the tranquil backyard. In case anyone is wondering, they have all the coffee options (drip, Keurig, French press, pour over). Cell service was spotty at best, and my phone never found the wifi (though the other people I was traveling with had no problem). Can't wait to book our next stay there. (And thank you for sharing your blackberries with us!)"

10/10 Excellent
"We rented a boat from the marina for our stay and it completed a perfect vacation! Plenty of things for kids to do at this property! We played pickle ball and putted every night. The kid’s ages ranged from 2 to 13. We had 8 adults and 7 kids and the property was perfect for us. Ben was great and helped out when needed!"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Fruitland?
The best area to stay in Fruitland, Washington, is generally around the shore of Lake Roosevelt, particularly near the Fort Spokane or Hunters areas, as these offer the most convenient access to the main attractions. For families, staying close to Fort Spokane is an excellent choice. This area provides direct access to the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area, with opportunities for swimming, fishing, and boating. The historic Fort Spokane site offers educational insights into the region's past, and there are facilities for picnics and lakeside activities, making it easy to keep everyone entertained.Couples looking for a peaceful retreat might prefer the Hunters area. This part of Fruitland, slightly north of Fort Spokane, offers a more secluded experience with stunning lake views and easy access to hiking trails.
When is the best time to go to Fruitland?
The best time to visit Fruitland, Washington, is generally during the late spring, summer, and early autumn months, from May to October. This period offers the most pleasant weather for outdoor activities, with warmer temperatures and less rainfall. Summer, particularly July and August, is ideal for enjoying the lakes and rivers for swimming, boating, and fishing. The surrounding natural areas are also at their best for hiking and exploring. For those interested in fishing, particularly for trout and kokanee, the spring and early summer (May to June) and then again in the autumn (September to October) are excellent. The cooler temperatures make for more comfortable fishing conditions, and these are often peak seasons for specific fish runs in the local waters.Families often find the summer months superb as the warm weather allows for full enjoyment of Lake Roosevelt's activities, from watersports to camping.
