Florence Cottage is a beautifully renovated retreat located in the picturesque village of Nunney, Somerset. This charming property perfectly blends modern comforts with classic English cottage charm, making it an ideal getaway for families, couples, or friends seeking peace and relaxation in the countryside.

The cottage features a cozy living room complete with a wood-burning stove, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The fully equipped kitchen offers everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, washer/dryer, and a Smeg cooker. Upstairs, the main bedroom boasts a luxurious king-size bed, while the second bedroom provides two queen beds and a convenient water closet. Please note that the steep stairs add character to the cottage but may not be suitable for guests with mobility concerns.

Le charmant cottage Florence permet de découvrir le Somerset, il est situé au cœur d’un joli village. La cuisine est très bien équipée, le salon est cosy et les chambres confortables. La terrasse qui donne sur la rivière est très agréable. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour et Andrew communique toutes les informations importantes.

The best thing about this cottage were the people in the area. Particularly the folks in the Cafe at Nunney. The steps to upper floors are dangerous. There are no handrails and the steps are various sizes not to mention they are in a spiral. They are not for the faint of heart. You have to go up on all fours. I’ve no experience living in an old cottage so maybe it’s normal to have lots of large spiders, beetles and wasps. My husband got stung while in bed. Every day when we would return home the first thing we did was kill insects. Having instructions for the appliances would be helpful. The WiFi was okay but unable to send emails. I was very disappointed.

Lovely, quirky little cottage in a quiet village. Near enough to Frome to have everything available that you may need, but far enough away to feel like you are away from the crowds. The cottage has lots of features and would be no good for anyone who struggles with staircases and is over 6 feet tall but there were most things that you need for a comfortable stay. We even had a kingfisher land on the patio fence a couple of times. All in all we would recommend this place.

The cottage was as described, in the heart of the village, lovely, comfortable and fully equipped. We ve enjoyed having breakfast in the outside space at rear, watching and listening to the brook. This makes the place a real gem. Nunney is a very picturesque and quiet village, yet with a lively pub and a very nice Cafe. And so many lovely walks with stunning views on the fiels and surrounding hills. It has been very easy to check in and to communicate with Andrew and the cleaning service is very good.

The house was beautiful and clean with everything you need for a week away with kids. The location was perfect for exploring the town and surrounding area, and management was friendly and helpful when we reached out with questions.

Beautiful cottage in a very lovely village.

We really enjoyed our stay. Florence Cottage is very well equipped and has clearly had a lot of money spent on it. The kitchen is beautiful, bathroom very modern and all the furniture is of good quality (very comfortable beds and sofa etc.). Andy sent us a detailed email prior to check-in with all the relevant instructions... The only thing we missed was a guide for the many recycling bins, but found the information on the Somerset Council website. I should mention how wonderfully warm the property is - even in March - thanks to the very new radiators.As the other reviews mention, the stairs really are steep - but that is to be expected with a property of this age.Nunney is a very special village with castle and welcoming pub, and there are many activities and walks within easy reach.I hope we can return in warmer months to enjoy the terrace overlooking the brook.Thank you for having us.

Long weekend break

a clean, well-equiped property. Very handy for the village amenities and viewing the local area. Very grateful that our dog was allowed to come too and the house was well designed for this. We understand that this is a recent holiday let. might suggest bedside tables and lights - fairly minor point. would recommend to others.
