There’s a walk in closet in the bedroom which fits the cot so we were able to have our 2yr old sleep in a bit of a separate space which felt cozy to her. "We stayed at the cottage-in-the-Barn for a couple nights with two college age kids and dogs. We loved the quiet setting and found it to be a great base for exploring Eastsound and other parts of the island. The cottage was clean and light and charming. It was beautiful in late winter but with the gardens and greenhouse, it must be wonderful in spring and summer!"

"This rental was very nice with fantastic views of Sucia & Matia Islands. The house is large with lots of sleeping options. The kitchen was well stocked and the hot tub utilized after some good hiking days. The sunny but cool spring weather allowed us to lounge by the wood burning stove. Having a truck, I opted to back down the narrow driveway which I thought was easier to manage. Thanks for sharing your wonderful home."

"The cottage was quite charming. It was the perfect distance between Oak Harbor and Coupeville for our needs. We would definitely stay again. "We planned a short getaway to Friday Harbor with our two small children. I booked the room with the garden terrace not quite knowing what to expect. WOW! Although we felt a little awkward with the kids (most people staying there at the time did not have kids), we were very warmly welcomed by the staff. The garden terrace rooms led right outside the the lawn, views of the ferries, and fire pits. We were able to get the kids asleep and step outside to enjoy a drink and the fires both nights. We regretfully did not eat dinner at the restaurant at Friday Harbor House (no menu options that seemed feasible for a picky toddler), but we did enjoy a delicious breakfast. The room and amenities were excellent. I enjoyed my first experience making coffee with a Chemex, and I appreciated the bottles of wine available for purchase just inside the room. If we had not brought the kids with us, I could have happily spent the whole time at the hotel enjoying the views. For those with kids, the grocery store is just down the street, the whale museum is next door, and there are multiple coffee shops and ice cream places a stone's throw away. I can't wait to come back here again!"
