« The historic home was clean and well decorated, and the spacious property well maintained. Because of our early season visit to celebrate my wife’s milestone birthday, we unfortunately weren’t able to fully enjoy the outdoor amenities, but hope to return during a warmer time to get the full experience. « In general, this is such a beautiful refuge from the noise of city/suburban life in Upstate New York. Gazing out the window the first morning, we saw a flock of turkeys passing through. The next day, fox and, later, a small herd of deer. The house itself is lovely. Though it was just my husband and I, this is the perfect place for families. « This was such a relaxing property and very easy communication with the hosts. The fenced in yard was perfect for our pup to run around. The kitchen is well stocked and very spacious with a very comfortable dining room table to enjoy meals. The location was very convenient for short drives to parks and hikes. The house is nicely furnished, comfortable and has beautiful backdrop of the mountains. This was such an awesome location to get away and relax. We would definitely recommend this property. »

« We had a great stay at Hillandale! It was a perfect spot for gathering family in town for our son’s wedding. It was clean, comfortable and very well stocked. There were lovely extras like snack baskets and fresh flowers in every room and extra toiletries in the bathrooms. A highlight was the beautiful outdoor space and setting. The house is an old farmhouse that has been added on to over the years which makes for long windy hallways upstairs and lots of hidden staircases. We loved it. Do note...

« The property is well located. The room was reasonably comfortable and the host provided some nice conveniences such as picnic plates and cutlery. On the downside, you WILL hear any night owl neighbors in the unit upstairs. Also, the flooring level change as you approach the bathroom is a bit of a tripping hazard. »
