  • quaint cabin that sits by a peaceful stream. sit on the front deck and listen to the water as it runs over the rocks. enjoy your morning coffee on the deck and your evening by the fire pit listen to the calming water. close to fabulous fishing and amazing hiking. We have updated the house adding a mural in the master bedroom. We have switched our the old electric stove for a gas stove in the kitchen. The front porch comes with a gas grill and a blackstone grill for your use. You are close to the quaint town of Franklin, to Seneca Rocks , Dolly Sods and Spruce Knob. Lots of hiking and nature for you to enjoy. Also close by is the wonderful town of Monterey Virginia. If there on a Friday or Saturday night, you should definitely check out Big Fish Cider. A Few miles from the cabin is Dry Run Spirits making great Bourbon for your enjoyment with great hosts. if you visit in the spring time, you are close to several maple syrup camps which is a must and absolute joy. You will find syrup in the cabin from a camp in Monterey ran by a close friend for many years. Come and spend some time with us. You will love it.

Had a relaxing getaway

The cabin was a great little place to just get away for the weekend. Being right by the stream was very peaceful and relaxing. The cabin has everything you’d ever need for a trip to get away from a busy life. Will definitely be back.

Amazing weekend get away

Great relaxing weekend. Very quiet, deer walked the property while we were there. House is super cozy and welcoming. Had a question before i booked and it was answered promptly. We will definitely be back in the spring.

First time to this part of WV

I needed a place to stay for the weekend for a trail race in the area. We didn’t get to spend much time at the cabin due to time spent at the race, but I wish we had more time to hang out and relax there. Awesome location and set up. I would definitely be interested in coming back for another visit sometime when I have more time to explore. Highly recommend!

Adorable house in a great location! We were staying in the area for hiking and climbing, and cold plunges in the creek were great after a long day! The creek is mostly no more than knee deep, but after a short walk up or down stream we found a few spots to sit and soak. We had a nice fire most nights, or dinner on the deck if there was rain. The fireflies at night put on quite a show! The house itself is very comfortable, with very comfy beds! More than enough room for a family of 6.Very secluded feel, but only 5 min from town grocery stores when needed. The host provided plenty of supplies like coffee, tea, paper products, soaps and tons of extra bedding and blankets.Absolutely loved our stay and we can't wait to visit again!

Great place for climbing adventures

The cabin is a great place, perfectly located 20-30 minutes from most of the area's climbing. The furniture is very comfortable, and the area is really quiet.

Everything and anything you need Danita had available which is so appreciated I usually forget something. Outdoor space enjoyable and spacious. We took our 4 grandchildren camping for a couple days during spring break and enjoyed some Easter fun too! Thank you for the hospitality
