The riad is stunning - it felt more like a homestay than a hotel in ways and we were a bit far out but you still get great value for your money - the room we stayed in (Yasmine) was very spacious and split over 2 floors - not very polished but loads of character to the place. Its a big mish mash of antiques and traditional moroccan home decor. If I visit fez again I would stay closer to the Bab Baljoud area as the riad is in a bit more of a local area - some people might love this but it can be hard to find your way back in the dark and a bit quiet. The main courtyard is a bit dark and damp with no natural light coming but there is a small pretty outside area with a feature pool. The desk, cleaning, and service staff were exceptional. The riad is beautiful and the decor charming, though it is a bit dark with an enclosed courtyard outside the rooms. The "pool" is actually more like a fountain in the main courtyard and it was empty during our April stay. The traditional Moroccan breakfast was delicious.
