Staff was friend. Did not get room cleaned. I did not know you had to ask for it.

Blatant false advertising. The listing made it look like you were staying in a building with direct beach access, and instead we were shoved in what looked like rundown apartments a mile back in the woods because these “Villas” were actually privately owned buildings that were separate from the REAL hotel in the pictures besides shared access to amenities on property. I didn’t book a “resort on the beach” to have to drive a mile from my unit to a parking garage and then lug all my beach bags on a 20 minute trek around the main building in 96degree heat plus two elevator rides with no AC inside them so that by the time we reached the sand I was about to pass out and immediately had to turn around and leave. We could have just driven to Jax beach, parked in a lot for $10 that’s directly across the street, and been on the sand in 5 minutes, but no, I dropped almost a K so that I could endure physical torture with zero beach time. Putting aside the entire reason we went on the trip, the signage was so nonexistent on property that we could barely find anything including our room and the restaurants, guest services didn’t know how the WiFi worked, the freezer box in the mini fridge was so caked over with ice we couldn’t fit even a single water bottle in it, no ice machine anywhere nearby, and I had to call maintenance to come at midnight to fix the toilet that spontaneously decided to stop working. Moral of the story: don’t try to celebrate your best friend’s birthday here.
