#### Swim, sunbathe and enjoy exciting water sports at this beach near Lloret de Mar. Use convenient ferry connections throughout the area to get here.

Spend a day on Costa Brava’s sparkling clean Fenals Beach. Less crowded than the central beaches in Lloret de Mar and other nearby resort towns, this pebble beach is nonetheless one of the region’s favorite destinations for beach activities. Enjoy its amenities and visit nearby bars and restaurants for a decadent Catalan dinner.

Rent a sunbed and umbrella and recline in the sun amid the other sun-worshippers, who pause only occasionally to cool off with a swim in the clear, calm waters. Have some excitement trying parasailing, waterskiing or kayaking. Rent sports equipment from nearby kiosks. Stroll or roller skate up and down the shaded promenade, stopping along the path for ice cream or a cold and refreshing drink.

Splash around in the waters of the Blue Flag-rated beach, whose steep slope into the ocean makes it a bit challenging for waders, but ideal for swimmers. Look up at the eastern end of the beach, where the remains of the Castell de Sant Joan rise out imperiously over the waves and beachgoers. Practice your breaststroke or butterfly.

Get out, towel off and head up the beach for a little afternoon snack. Walk back to Lloret de Mar on the pleasant road, lined with opportunities for drinks and tapas. Alternatively, hop on the ferry that leaves from the beach to nearby resort towns. The cool breezes as the boat glides along are the perfect refreshment after a sunny day.

Find Fenals Beach southwest of Lloret de Mar, a 20-minute walk from the train station or the city center. Drive here in 5 minutes. Taxi service is also available to and from the beach. Alternatively, take the intercity bus that connects towns all along the coast. Parking is available in a lot bordering the promenade, with some spots on nearby streets as well. The beach is open for swimming from May to November. Lifeguards are on duty from mid-morning to evening.

Stayed here 6 days. Staff is amazing! Location is excellent very close to shops, cafes, restaurants, metro, tourist sites, etc. Now for the loss of one star is… The room was ok, very small and the tv streaming service was not working very well. But that’s ok because we spent more time out exploring. Would consider staying here again in the future.
