The home offers a full floor master retreat, 2 additional bedrooms, open plan kitchen and living with soaring ceilings, wraparound deck under the pines and enough room to host friends in the country, yet only minutes to downtown Asheville(the Paris of the South), Biltmore Estate and Blue Ridge Parkway. Escape to tranquility in this charming log cabin nestled in a serene setting, moments away from town convenience. Step into rustic elegance and behold the soaring great room ceilings and fireplace ensconced in a stunning rock hearth, perfect for cozy evenings. After a full day of enjoying the excitement of Asheville and surrounding areas, indulge in the luxurious clawfoot tub, strategically placed in the private full floor master suite. This primary suite is complete with ample seating for lounging and unwinding. Whether you\`re curling up with a good book or simply soaking in the peaceful ambiance, this space is your sanctuary. Embrace the joys of nature with the added bonus of pet-friendly accommodations, ensuring every member of the family can revel in the beauty of the surroundings. From tranquil mornings on the porch to evenings by the fire or the spacious fire pit area, this log cabin offers a perfect blend of comfort and convenience for your retreat into nature\`s embrace, just a stone\`s throw away from town amenities. Note - the yard is not fenced in. Our guidebook will give you many ideas for activities, restaurants and breweries and we have some favorite hikes below. Search them on Google for directions. Wildcat Rock Trail: Thanks to the hard work of Conserving Carolina and their ace trailblazer Peter Barr, there\`s a spectacular hike to explore in the Upper Hickory Nut Gorge area. The 3-mile Wildcat Rock Trail climbs about 1,800 feet in elevation, taking you to a 100-foot waterfall, rock climbing area, towering cliffs, and a panoramic lookout point from Wildcat Rock (photo above). It ends in a highland grassland atop Little Bearwallow Mountain, elevation of 3,900 Deep Gap Trail at Mount Mitchell: Hike from the highest peak east of the Mississippi River (Mount Mitchell, 6684 feet) to the second highest one (Mount Craig, 6647 feet). On the ridge line of these giants of the Black Mountains, you might find yourself above the clouds. Craggy Pinnacle: A short, easy-to-access hike through a rhododendron thicket brings you to the pinnacle and 360˚views, glorious sunsets or morning mist on the mountains. This close-to-Asheville hike includes a sampler of mountain scenery: long-range views, twisted laurel and dramatic rock formations. For waterfall viewings and hikes you can Google Dupont State Park, Sliding Rock, Catawba Falls, and Graveyard Fields to name a few. You will have sole use of property! I am close by if you need me. The home is on a septic system. Please do not flush anything such as tampons, baby wipes or paper towels. Do not drain grease in to the kitchen sink and do NOT bath pets in the tubs. There are a few older towels in a basket by the door to use for your dogs if needed.
